  1. A little late with this i have been catching up but back to page 13 or 14 i think it was about aerial rescue. We were practicing aerial rescue on tue at work with two persons weight on a zig-zag and all seemed fine, no noticeable change in the way it ran or amount of pressure applied to descend.

Is it rated high enough for aerial rescue?

  2. Stick it up for sale and see what happens.

Once you have options it's easier to make desicions.

Thanks I will :) can I do it through the app? Or do I have to use the Internet? I won't be able to get pictures off my iPad then

I hate selling stuff! Had my private car up for sale for a month it's just a headache!

I can see a 8x5 indespension but no ifor?

Thanks Stephen I think I will :) just wanted to get an idea of what it's worth or if I should keep it!

    Thanks,

    Charlie.

  4. Thinking of selling my TT85 as it doesnt get used much, and getting a 12x6 flatbed with crane or maybe bigger tipping trailer.

Can't find many for sale at the moment just wondered what I could expect to get for it?

2010 I think, VGC, mesh side extensions, no VAT. I thought about £2500? I think the new version of this goes for about £4k with the VAT?

    Thanks.

  5. It was the missing screws - one on the recoil, one on the carb, then the two holding the lower air box molding in place, an AV mount I helicoiled and the one that needed drilling and tapping that were unexpected!

The rest of it wasn't too bad! Much cleaner now,

Your rim is on order and so is the piston for the 036.

    That's great thanks :)

I don't think it's seen that much use? Guy I bought it off bought it new and hardly ever used it "it only cuts through softwood" which I think translates to he cant sharpen a chain!

Actually thinking about it don't look at my chain! Was sharpened on site and needs depth gauges doing I think, then hit some metal on the last cut.

  6. Started work on a Husqvarna 395XP, it has a bit of a stumble on running sometimes.

Repalcing a few screws that are missing, re-tapped a couple of holes, helicoiled another, replaced a screw missing on the carb cover - 13 year old saw:001_rolleyes:

Carb in the US cleaner, replaced and rebuilt the HT lead which is good now.

Just need to take a look at the clutch, pressure/vac check and then do a final run up and tach tune.

    Should be fine after this!

Almost forgot - rebuilt the kill switch wiring - didn't work but does now!

Nice to see her apart, didn't know she was 13 years old ! Hope it wasn't too much of a pain!

    :)

  7. :001_smile: thanks Rob

Um, either way, I bought a mill for this job but I've run out of time... Just be nice to see some of the wood used rather than burned!

Think its 1 long straight bit of ash, 1 long straight bit of oak, and a short piece of ash. I take it sycamore is pretty useless for milling? All around 25" or so, maybe a bit bigger at the fat end.

It's not a million miles from Stansted airport.

    Thanks, Charlie.

  8. Part 2 ......todays work, a poorly MS200T - not wanting to rev up, idle not too bad but all round dodgy:thumbdown:

The owner wanted if fixed and ported so gave it the full stripdown - the seals were leaking a little so replaced them, ported the exhaust port, lowered the squish and did a muffler mod - started sweet as a nut and revs out well.

The chainbrake was full of crud, typical of this type of saw but now operates a lot crisper!

    Looks familiar :D

I should clean that out more often, that is filthy in there!

  9. what sort of cubic capacity chip box can i get on a 110, could i buy a good one for 3 grand i appreciate the info as this will be my first!!

Mines about 5m3 too (if I got rid of the toolboxes and had a plain box).

Problem with a 110 is finding a HD 3500KG version, and its easy to overload the rear axle before you reach 3.5ton.

Another one of mine taken last year, inspired by today's weather...

Been offered a band new unused (old stock) hydraulic superwinch, PTO pump, hoses etc for £1000. Needs a winch bumper, wire and roller fair lead to finish it. I am very tempted just feels a touch steep...

  10. Anyone know the best place to look for hydraulic winches secondhand?

Here's my 110 HD tipper. Ill put up a thread soon about it, as I'm changing the box on the back and it might be interesting for people to learn from my mistakes lol.
