  1. Copied post, not necessarily arb related but maybe a heads-up. (please remove if inapropriate) Stolen 1963 series 2a with a mechanical winch on the front - Land Rover Zone
  2. I've rigged a door bell up to a PIR sensor and set that just above the CCTV camera covering the drive, just a simple ding-dong type but it tends to make people look up as they aren't expecting the noise. Its not infallible but it does help to get a face shot of anyone who comes further down the drive than they have reason to.
  3. +1 My K series gaylander is losing water, partly due to evaporation through cracks in the top of the expansion bottle and partly through the inlet manifold into the No2 cylinder. Do you have a slight mis-fire for the first couple of hundred yards from cold?
  4. Sorry to hear that mate. I've copied it onto landyzone into the stolen vehicles section, might be worth going over there and adding some more details about the landy. Also worth putting it on landywatch LandyWatch - Keeping an eye on your Land Rover LandyZone - Land Rover Forum
  5. Eyup, what set up's do you guys normally run compressor-wise? I'm from a landy background where most folk are more than happy to scrap the OE setups in favour of coils...
  6. Is that a Ransomes mg or an Aveling Barford in the top pic?
  7. I was going to go Terra Firma on my disco but sadly she died... Pro-comp also seem good but there seem to be some odd q.c. Issues with their shocks. Its well worth spending a bit more, particularly on a work truck, mine was a daily driver but I lifted it twice and rebushed it twice 'cos I used brit-part... When I get turned around I'll be on look out for either a Tithonus or green fleet 110 for my landscaping and.joinery work.
  8. Eyup, have you thought about putting a pair of 130 assister Springs inside yours? They''ll not affect the unladen ride much but you'll see a difference with a load on. I think they're about £15 each. Other than that, are your shocks in good nick? OME or Terra Firma are a vast improvement on standard but your looking at £25 - 50 a side. Polybushes will firm the ride nicely and aren't that dear or hard to fit even without a press.
  9. I used to run em on my 3.9 disco and never had a problem with them other than the extra noise and drag on road. I'm currently running insa rangers on my gaylander, they''ll run happily at 80 on the motorway but haven't let me down yet on heavy clay or 9" of snow.
