  1. Just ordered mine, these are the prices i was quoted is anybody else was after one... DTI TT-20K price: £75 including postage and VAT. Fast-Tach price: £72 including postage and VAT.
  2. What about a VFR 400, meets the brief of a 'v', they have carbs, shouldn't be too heavy and plenty about? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. The garden centre near me has both "traditional logs" and "hardwood logs" in pre bagged nets that look very similar. My assumption that the "traditional" ones are mixed or just softwood, they are a couple of quid a net cheaper. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. 30 degree quick wash works ok, if you don't get caught. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. MS200 saga over....thought it was going to be a sweepstake, thanks for the updates, I'm sure I wasn't the only one mulling it over I just put a meteor from Leo on a 260 after Spuds recommendation earlier in the thread, they are certainly nicely made. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Could it be an air leak above where you block the boot when you vac and pressure test, perhaps between boot and carb? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Treated myself to a Mityvac 8550, badged as Snap On or Bluepoint as it came up a the right price on the bay. Defiantly think having both functions on one device is a plus and must save time. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. I think that's been done? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Thanks Sounds like good advice re the bearings, it did leak worse as i moved the crankshaft about so they may be better getting replaced, I have no experience of the roller type so not sure if they should feel different from the ball type. I decided to do the crank bearings on my MS260 last week and once I started realised i'd perhaps bitten off a bit more than I could chew - lots of googleing to try to work out how split the cases. .... Running now although yet to try it on a log. Its becoming addictive.
  10. Hi Guys, ive been lurking for a while, I joined Arbtalk on the back of this thread, so firstly THANKS for those that contribute and pass on their knowledge. I have an 020T that just wont run right and everything points to an air leak so took the plunge and had my first go at vac and pressure testing. Started ok with vacuum but with pressure, about 10psi, i think i found the leaks. Any advice on changing the seals without the fancy seal remover like Spud's gratefully received:001_smile:
