  1. Hi Ian The 2 small ones are ok for a pallet. Good idea with the panels but the post corners are up to 6' long and that gives the log store it's strength. Just liked your facebook page. You've got some great products on there.
  2. Whats wrong with mine? Quality product and delivery included.
  3. Log Box - 1Hx1Wx1.2L The area inside is about .8 cu metre. £210 inc delivery erected. We can send it with dry, seasoned Beech hardwood logs and a net of kindling inside for an extra £70. The log box will hold just over a builders sack. Amount of logs delivered with the box will be about 180 - contents of 1 full builders sack of .71 cu metre. Just looked at this again and realised that this is the description with the picture. The measurements are the maximum sizes. It is not 1.2 m3
  4. Check on Ebay and buy Tractor & machinery magazine. That'll give you an idea.
  5. I think £500 is a good price if it doesn't run. Tinwork looks good. I bought a Bonser forklift fairly cheap, I'm just doing bits to it now and again. Injector pumps are expensive - £300 if needed. I've spent about £600 on it with new water pump, serviced injector pump, new rear tyre, new lift pump. I'm into David Browns and its an early Selectamatic skid unit so I'm not too worried about spending on it. I think if you buy it at £500 get it running don't paint it but make sure it's mechanically sound it will make you a bit of money.
  6. No the small upright log store is .9 long, the log box is noticeably longer and fits onto a standard pallet with the roof overhanging slightly.

Small upright log store - 1.8Hx.5Wx.9L The area inside is about .8 cu metre. £240 inc delivery erected. Large upright log store - 1.8Hx.5Wx2.1L The area inside is about 1.8 cu metre. £315 inc delivery to erect yourself. Please let me know what you think. Mark
  8. I'd really like to send it ready built/almost ready built. I think if I take the roof off it would fit inside and make it more stable on the pallet. It just needs bracing then or maybe steel strapping would be enough? That's given me ideas for tomorrow now! If you're on cizzer now I need to get me bitter. Actually, it's later than I thought! definatley need a beer.
  9. We didn't get much of a response to our request for kindling and as our customers wanted kiln dried we decided to find the time to make our own. We managed to do about 830 nets which included cutting the wood as well in a week. Good job I didn't just buy 100 nets we sold 120 last week.
  10. What problems do you get with the general public? Can you give me a few pointers? It worries me that no matter what you do for some people it will never be enough.
  11. Right, after going round a few garden centres and a country store, it seems that the above log store should be our bench mark for "Heavy Duty". £240 was a good retail price for how it's built......... I've spoken to a pallet delivery company it will cost us £84 inc VAT to deliver to Middle England. This is down to London across to Bristol and up to the Borders. It would be £35 +VAT but the log store is 6' tall so has to be a double pallet charge. If I sent it erected it would be one pallet size but I think it would cause problems. For £240 we will include delivery within the above areas, we are not VAT registered. My problem now is how to make the instructions readable/easy to understand. It will only be a matter of screwing the sides together along with the roof and the floor but do you just write the instructions or use pictures as well. Maybe a blown up diagram? Any more thoughts/advice would be gratefully received. More wood to buy tomorrow to make a couple more variations though not quite so heavy duty...............
  12. Ok. We all have different ideas. I'm not for feather edge boards. 4 times cheaper doesn't even cover the cost of materials for me.
  13. Love that idea. Just had a quick look it could be and extra £25 for sedums. Might be worth a try to see how it develops. Ok, so the majority of you think it's too small. What size are you thinking? Most of our firewood customers take either a builders sack or 1m3 at a time so I gauged it on that to start with. Need to find out what people really want/need.
  14. Sorry, yes it is closed boarded. This is our prototype to see what people think to it. Also probably the smallest one. We're thinking of making a low one with a lift up lid, bit like a tatty box really but much more refined/more accessible to get to the back. No reason why this can't be extended width ways with little extra cost?
  15. I've got to weigh it yet and try to get a reasonable delivery cost. That's one of next weeks jobs. I've also got to think about instructions to erect it if it goes flat pack, two jobs for next week.
  16. The roof isn't sealed. Retail price is £240 Oh, this is the deluxe model with the chimney
  17. We would like you thoughts on our first log store that we've built for retail sales. It measures - 6' Tall 3'wide and 2'deep. The picture shows it with a builders sack worth of logs - .71m3 size. The store area is .8m3 It is made with pressure treated timber and is heavy duty. I've yet to look at flat pack yet and weight, it's quite heavy. A lot that we have seen were made out of featheredge boarding with solid sides. People were also saying that the roof didn't overhang enough so hopefully we've made ours better. If people like it we will be looking at making these in a few sizes.
  18. Hi Joy Thanks for your reply. We would prefer kiln dried softwood. I guess everyone has run out of kindling with the lack of response? Regards Mark
  19. Thought the 3 pallets of kindling we had would last us for the next couple of months but a company order all of them today so we are kindlingless. We just want 1 pallet for now I'm sure we won't be selling much more and it may last us until we get time to produce some more. Ours were in green nets and weighed 4kg with 100 on a pallet, kindling was made from kiln dried softwood. If anyone can supply similar please PM me or reply here. Delivery Postcode - DN17 4BS Thank you in advance. Mark
  20. Here you are Dave. If you need any advice while building it ask away. I would say that it might help to make the hangers adjustable. We have welded ours on which is fine for us but it may help to make every other one move for different size bags. Mark
  21. oof. Our patent cost a fortune for that I'll take a couple of photos for you tomorrow and get them on tomorrow night. I don't know anyone with a bagger like the one fuelwood do. I'd be interested to know how long it takes to bag 10 with it. Must be same amount of time really. I just like to work in phases - put bags on - fill - have a coffee - put filled bags on pallet - stand back admire pallet filling up................. Mark
  22. This is our bagger. It takes 10 minutes from putting the 10 nets on to taking them off and stacking them on the pallet.
  23. I've just subscribed to the firewood directory to advertise our logs and kindling. We usually deliver up to 25 miles away. Please contact me for any info. Thanks. Mark
