  1. I do agree that on some occasions rigging limbs off does make the job a awful lot easier especially if the tree is on a steep banking.but on this specific job we had a 12" crane fed machine & a greenmech for clearing up the smaller bits so crash & bash it was. 😃
  2. First go pro video of a bit of crash & bash from a mature Ash we took down last week. Camera angle is not amazing on the climbing part of the video but luckily we sorted it out for the felling of the stem. Hope you enjoy & any advice would be greatly appreciated Cheers Phill [ame= ] [/ame]

    One of the lads who works with us has got one,its really light & seems to fit quite well.Seems a good quality lid!

  6. Evening Got a 361 chain take to put back together but can't remember how it goes back together ! Just wondering if anyone's got a picture of the assembly that I could have a look at ? Thanks in advance Phill
  7. Yeah I thought it were at first burners just where it's blown it out Was only the back cut on a nice peice of ash
  8. Don't know if this has happened to anyone else but had the bar de laminate on me today whilst taking off a piece if ash this is the 2nd bar to go now Looks like a slight design fault from husky ?
  9. The stein/kask is a great lid but i am also sick of replacing the adaptors for the fittings Such a weak point on the helmet

It is true about network buying new greenmechs unsure on the numbers but there great,all custom built for the railway with light towers and winches attached.we used one of them last week and the only thing I could fault it on was the tracking system was a little slower than the older models but still not as slow as the tw190 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Evening Arbtalk Were after 2 new saws to replace the disaster that is the ms261 The big question is do we go husky or stick with stihl Just wondering witch one is more reliable,well balanced,easy to use use,cheapest to maintain and which one has the most grunt ? Just one more question has got to be which one is the cheapest to mend when it goes tits up? Thanks in advance Phill
