  10. Hi Guys, Is there anyone out there, close to Ashford Kent, who offers Paddock mowing ?. Have 2-3 acres that need a good chop when the ground dries up. Ta

  12. Not sure what I have the greatest sympathy for, the guys ordeal or his spelling ....Damn !!!. Great read though, had me weeping.
  13. Sounds like your in a similar position to what I was a year or so ago. I had a little husky 142e as an entry saw which was perfect for learning on, nice and light, small and easy to service and play with. Decided I needed/wanted something with a bit more punch so, after a bit of advice from seasoned users, I decided to go for a 346xp. I was very fortunate to find a nearly new saw on ebay which I picked up for £205, not only the saw but the guy included 5ltr chain oil & petrol, files and an axe, what a bargain !!!. The difference in quality and productivity that the 346 supplies is well worth the trade up and I would definitely recommend it.

  15. A 3rd of my stock already. Up the wood tomorrow for a few ringed standing Birch. I don't wanna run out early. Its been bleeding cold down in Kent lately.
  16. Hi all, newbie to the site here. I have 15 or so acres of woodland near Ashford in Kent, and am looking into the possibility of selling some of the timber within the wood. Fronting the woods is a couple paddocks and storage buildings/Barn in an old livery yard so plenty of room to stack the timber. Road access is easy from the yard. Could anyone give me any advice as to how I would go about getting a decent price for trees. Manly Oak, Hornbeam, Ash, Birch and Hazel with Aspen in the younger areas. Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong area, Thanks.
