  1. Cheers for the reply Adw, looks like it's £70 for a new one or soldier on a replacement plug.
  2. Anyone had this on a Husqvarna 12 v battery charger (QC80F), the thing has randomly melted. Any danger of this be covered under warranty and how long is said warranty?
  3. I'd be interested to know what type/brand of bars and chains are folk here using on their WP36. I've been using an Oregon Controlcut 15" bar with Oregon 21LPX 72 link full chisel. Have also used the Oregon semi chisel (21BPX) and didn't notice much difference. With at setup I can process clean hard or softwood all day with a hand sharpening at end of each day. I find the chain lasts well. As previous mentioned, maintaining cutter length is key, they don't like uneven chains.
  4. If there are any hand cutters in the Cardiff area looking for some work please message me.
  5. Yeah I'm interested in getting one of these timber trailers also, Kranman lead times are currently around 6 months though. The other ones I've seen are Vahva Jussi 320/400 and Avesta Vagnen supplies by Marshall logging and Fuelwood respectively. Does anyone have any experience of the quality of these 2 brands and how they compare to Kranman?
  6. I'm looking for a tree cutter for woodland thinning work for firewood production. Solely chainsaw work....felling and limbing. About a weeks work needed over the next month, flexible on when. Please PM me day rates, working hrs, availability etc Cheers John
  7. I'm looking for a productive forestry worker for 2-3 days of woodland thinning. Chainsaw work only....felling and delimbing. Work needed to be done asap, but flexible on times.
  8. As above I'm looking for a cutter again! Please PM me with day rates and availability! Cheers John
  9. Looking for a cutter to do a few days work this week. Solely chainsaw work....felling and delimbing Spruce. Flexible on when this week. Please PM me day rates, working hrs, availability etc Cheers John
  10. Thanks for the help on this issue chaps! I haven't yet got the bottom of the problem but I hound hat id it set the matching on a slightly uphill gradient the problem was minimised! I got this years cutting done so it's a fix that has been pushed down the job list! When I find out what the problem is I shall report back Cheers
  11. I wonder if any of the readers on here could help me withja slight problem with my petrol wp36. When extending the ram to split a log, the ram on occasions isn't returning automatically back to the start position. I've oiled all the visible moving parts which seems to help a little but hasn't solved the problem! Anyone had a similar problem and fixed it? Cheers
  12. As above I'm looking for a cutter again! Please PM me with day rates and availability! Cheers John
  13. I'm looking to process a portion of my firewood production straight into vented bags this year as a trial, but I'm slightly concered about processor waste material getting in the bags. I'm currently using a farmi WP36 to process into large pallet structures and handballing the processed/seasoned logs into the builders bag on the truck for delivery, but looking to cut this handling out of the equation! In amongst my log stack there is alot of processor waste ie. pieces of bark, wood chips/flakes, ivy, moss and even mouse nests etc I'd be interested to know if people are finding this a problem for customers and/or the drying process of logs in vented bags. Do customers minds this extra ditritus in the bags, some i supose may consicer it useful kindling!
