  1. I was cutting through a Beech tree which was windblown and flat on the ground. I had used my 560xp a couple of days earlier with no problems. However when cutting through the Beech tree it just seized up and no compression. Took it to dealer where I bought it and it was repaired under warranty. It had been used for only one and a half hours!! No explanation given as to why this happened.
  2. Early retired meteorologist living up in the hills of North Wales. I became interested in wood/logs after installing a Charnwood Country 12 in our property. Needed logs to supply this so had the initial scavenger license from the Forestry Commission. When this stopped had to buy in. Through word of mouth now have a dozen regular customers. This keeps me fit and active. Found this site and love reading through it. Now have Husky 545 which is brilliant and the last few months a Triton 7 tonne splitter which is also excellent.
  3. My all time favourite is Paddy and for a real treat Penderyn Madeira (Welsh Whiskey).
  4. Worst of all he started doing a Mick Jagger impersonation and tried pouting!
  5. After doing the conger at the whiting he started singing, it was way out of tun a!
  6. So his codwood will be ling ering !
  7. Stuff the logs I'm sure a coalfish wood burn much batter.
  8. I'm looking forward to the time when I can skate to my codwood.
  9. Heard his dog isn't very well. porbeagle.
  10. He's probably drowning his sorrows at the whiting then when he's had a few he'll be doing the conger.
  11. Been using a couple of Gransfors axes for the last 2-3 years and I thought they were the DB's. The X27 however is another step up. It seems completly stable and very accurate, beautifully balanced and light. Very impressed.
  12. Just Google Ebay Germany and you will be spoilt for choice. Some are cheaper again but charge more for postage.
  13. Ebay Germany. Just ordered one and came to 78 Euros approx £63 incl delivery to Wales.
