  1. Ian Dale predicts she’ll be gone tomorrow…. Probably about right BUT as we said earlier, it’s no good looking just at the immediate (they ditched Boris and got this shit), they sent us into Iraq and created a vacuum, they sent us into Afghan and created a vacuum. You have to start at the end and work backwards towards the beginning before you set about a course of action.
  2. I’m not mate…. This is a proper shambles. They’ll be dredging around the Borough and Parish councils for cabinet members soon - they’re already run out of no-mark MPs for cabinet (although it still makes me howl to think our own constituency MP, despite all her sycophantic ass licking, STILL hasn’t been called forward 😂)
  3. I’m sat here with 2 shotguns in body armour and a tin (foil) hat yoof waiting…. Ask they feckers in Ukraine if they thought be spending tonight in a bomb shelter. Not so “unprecedented” as you might think eh.
  4. To be fair, I don’t know him, probably a right chinless wonder and the banter that is starting to fly around in the responses is like - military coup? The army can’t even organise food and accommodation for the troops. All I’m saying is, I don’t think it’s ‘out of the question’ as of today, yet 3 years ago you’d have called me a madman for even mentioning it. Anyway, can’t hang around chatting with you, I’m off to dig my CBA out of the garage.
  5. See attached. Coincidence? Unprecedented?
  6. Who wouldn’t? The proletariat?? Wait and see what happens when they get hungry.
  7. You want to look at s211(4) Town and Country Planning Act 1990 WWW.LEGISLATION.GOV.UK An Act to consolidate certain enactments relating to town and country planning (excluding special controls in respect of... The same penalties apply in a CA as if there had been a TPO.
  8. Do you remember the days when even the suggestion of a military coup would have you banged up in the tin foil hat happy house? ”Unprecedented” is a word that has undergone an unprecedented usage rate over the past 3-4 years and has kind of lost its mystique and sparkle. Military coup - remember where you heard it first.
  9. Are you confusing democracy with individual personal preference there J? Cameron first attempted, by negotiation with the EU, to bring about some very necessary changes to EU strategic direction - which was rejected by the EU. Only after that rejection did he then concede to the influence of a significant pressure group made up of directly elected representatives of the people that held a different view to his own viz a viz EU. Only then did the referendum materialise. All of those processes were appropriately democratic. Cameron found himself personally at odds with the outcome at each stage. The only part of that that could be described as having backfired is that Cameron, at each stage, found himself at odds with the majority and so he resigned. On objective reflection, isn’t that exactly the model we should aspire to?
  10. Surprised you included Rory Stewart in that list J, I’m guessing the list is of people you don’t approve of. Stewart always came across as being NOT from the moral vortex brigade to me.
  11. So if Boris was bad, and Truss is worse….. Does it follow that getting rid of Boris was the wrong thing to do (careful what you wish for springs to mind)
  12. There always used to be one in Trispen where they’d have a mannequin in bra, stockings and Nick naks…. Every time I’d break my neck as I drove past - must have caused many a crash over the years. My PC bought the old phone box. Dozy feckers didn’t bother thinking what they’d do with it so spent a load of dosh having the village defib moved from the pub (totally central) to the phone box (without telling anyone) then had to spend another bundle moving it back when the pub land lord pointed out that it didn’t belong to the PC. Wankers!
  13. Was curious so reached for the encyclopaedia Britanicca (Google), population of France 67.39 mil (2020) population of UK 67.22 mil (2020) Whod have thought it.
  14. Bloody Brexit 😂 you mean Le Big Mac (in a Reservoir Dogs stylie)
  15. He did…. You ever tried to find a working phone box in Stoke 😂😂👍🏻
  16. It’s harder to find a solution than it is to see what’s wrong but by Christ did Truss get it wrong. What a complete and utter dullard. Growth, Growth, Growth? Who the hell came up with that bollox? Sustainability, sustainability, sustainability should be the modern cry. The Ponzi scheme of tax and spend, combined with historic and shocking wealth disparity is starting to tumble….
  17. Our constituency MP drives across the path to park outside her office in town. No drop curb. Maybe I should grass her up - Boris backing, Brexit supporting, Tory scum.
  18. I’m not the only one you know… He says - proving the point for him 😤
  19. I’m gonna make the cardinal error of not reading to the end before jumping in ½ cocked…. All we need now is BigJ bleating on about the sh1t state of our great nation (most likely because of Brexit (God bless our good fortune) or planning regs, or heaven forbid, rain) whilst simultaneously COMPLETELY IGNORING the equal strife that is occurring elsewhere (wholly unaffected by Brexit) but just as meaningful and real…. No fuel and a national strike in France but not a saucisson Of news about this until some chummy phones in to LBC and tells us about it.
  20. Do what the LA appears unable, through incompetence or lack of interest, to do. look to the bigger picture. Rip the crappy tree out and instal what ever drop curb arrangement you have received approval for. Avoid the considerable £s and environmental cost of demolition and rebuild but plant several well selected trees in well considered locations to compensate for the loss of 1 poorly performing tree.
