  1. You’re saying there is no insider whistle blower and it’s all a fabrication of a journo at the MoS? I hadn’t heard that angle. Im not sure I buy it though. Like you say, it’s blown up. Whichever journo/editor supplied/approved the gig must have an audit trail or they’d be getting their sandwiches in a tube map.
  2. That’s the ‘story,’ anonymous source(s) that leaked the details to the media.... We’re never gonna find out who it was - if it’s not true it would be libellous.
  3. No, I get it Mick, I just don’t know who is lying.... If it never happened then those that have said they overheard her bragging about it are lying. If they did overhear her bragging about it then the cries of misogyny are misplaced. What a state of affairs - politics based upon having to ascertain who is less likely to be a lying bastard....
  4. I see it slightly differently- in parts at least. On the one hand the furore about misogynist behaviour would be entirely misplaced if she behaved (whether she believed it would work or not) in that fashion intentionally. On the other hand, I’d agree, it’s a poor state of affairs if she thought it would work and shows how low she holds the office of PM. That wouldn’t be a surprise though since she genuinely holds all Tories to be scum. Im of half a mind to think she’s a Machiavellian scheming bastard - I wish I didn’t feel that way.....
  5. You were well ahead of this one Mick 😂
  6. A bumbling FW for sure Mark, but I fail to see how Rayner would have thought it would make the slightest of a distraction - what’s more interesting to me is whether she was overheard saying she’d employed the tactic or if it is just somebody’s’opinion’ of what they ‘thought’ she was doing....
  7. This might unsettle Dempsey 😂 He was ahead of the game with his Rayner fetish! I haven’t read the story but it was being reported that Raynwr had said she was attempting to flash her legs to distract Johnson. If if was Rayner that said, and was heard to have said that, then the story has gone way off track. If she said / did this thing that might give Mr Dempsey clammy palms, then she is the only one at fault. I don’t know if she did or didn’t - if she didn’t, and it is a complete fabrication, then perhaps the misogynist howls may be appropriate, but if she did say that she had done it intentionally then she is the problem. Would be good to know one way or the other.....
  8. “Forget it” he says nonchalantly! Removal of that tree is a contributory factor in global deforestation, climate emergency and habitat loss. By such individual acts, a great harm is visited upon all life forms. Rather than forgetting it - make immediate arrangements for the planting of a 100 new trees to atone for the climate crime of removing that one..... (if that doesn’t appeal, do like what Stubby said!)
  9. It’s possible (possible I say, I’m not suggesting it is the case) that she sees a golden opportunity? If she genuinely does find the partygate scenario a showstopper, fair play for speaking up. I don’t necessarily agree (on that point alone) since I pretty much ignored those “so-called” government rules anyway. How can I be offended by someone ignoring shots rules that I was ignoring myself? I wonder if she sniffs an opportunity at the big seat or if she is genuinely outraged... Dont know - who knows....
  10. Grow up..... Did you use your car today, turn your lights on or any of the other activities that require the use of natural resources?
  11. Bull “fighting”, badger baiting and dancing bears all just good sport huh.....
  12. Have a drop more water with it you feisty fecker. Did 4 horses die for senseless pleasure? A simple Y/N will do.
  13. At every opportunity, some self interested bar steward adds another layer of complexity and corruption to the already in feasibly complex and unbalanced “tax” situation. Time to tear the whole house down and start again from day one.
  14. So is that 4 horses dead after Grand National - Discorama, Solwara One, Elle Est Belle & Eclair Surf. Odd, not mentioned at all on MSM. What a truly “animal loving” nature the UK is huh....
  15. The greatest similarity between the NFU and other unions is that (certainly in the upper reaches) they tend to forget the actual working man and focus rather upon the continuation of adverse influence and 6 figure executive salaries whilst boldly claiming the right to live in social housing - you won’t need the examples I’m sure 3gg3R. It’s actually hilarious to see small holders extolling the virtues of the NFU. Poor deluded fools....
  16. I’ve no doubt the point is not lost on you mindful of your supposed environmental interests.... Perhaps the whole rationale for the change somehow doesn’t apply to the agricultural sector and it has absolutely nothing to do with the pernicious lobbying influence of the NFU.
  17. They have campaigned on behalf of their members in order to secure the sort of policy, financial and tax advantages that are the exclusive privilege of their members and bollox to the rest.....
  18. The (all powerful) NFU have done what they consistently do - wielded their unmatched power and influence over (so called) government policy to the complete advantage of their own and bollox to everyone else. Of course it’s their gift to do exactly that and they are very good at it. The expertise of the NFU also casts the inadequacy of most other lobbying organisations more acutely into the spotlight....
  19. Having read the thread, I was wondering why you hadn’t touched upon using the EV battery bank as your domestic battery bank for evenings thus saving having 2 battery banks. I understand now you’ve indicated your mileage. For me to transfer over to EV it would need to be on the basis that the car was the domestic night time battery bank.
  20. Holy cow! That’s madness!! My 2015 transit custom has 30k and my 2016 Hilux has very similar.....
  21. The discussion on LBC is currently centred upon the beneficial implications of inheritance tax for non-Dom’s. It’s opening up a whole new can of whoopass!
  22. There are almost too many anomalies and idiosyncrasies of British politics - and the unpredictable and illogical tendencies of the voter - to try to understand Mark... How that complete bubbleheed has become a minister of government is genuinely unfathomable. Even allocating her as the tart for the arts is truly baffling.
  23. It’s a natural feature of getting older shag. The longer you last, the more funerals you are gonna attend. Looks like I should have avoided attending my own for a bit longer but look on the bright side pal - it will always be better to attend someone else’s funeral than attending your own! Keep your chin up. 👍🏻
