  1. I've had some Yellow Birch (Betula lutea) grown from seed this year. Anyone looking for some for a collection should contact me. Approx 500 available. Cheers G
  2. Not wishing to be the voice of dissent or anything.. However, surely the title of 'most badass lorry ever to roll' must go to the Scammell Explorer? When all else is stuck, fetch the Scammell..
  3. Looking for some seasoned Holly planks. They must be 1-1.25 inches thick, absolutely no warping, splits, knots or other defects and 4'10-5' long. Anyone got some please? Cheers G
  4. I'm on the hunt for a good timber framing book. How to's on all the joints, methods etc. Anyone got any favourites please? Thanks G
  5. Fair enough. Which grade do you use then Spud?
  6. Best one to use? Got some 574 but I reckon it's temp resistance is too low. What are others using? Cheers G
  7. Tecumseh 55 on an Efco mower. Was letting neat petrol straight through to the cylinder. Carb rebuild kit required (most probably perished over the winter). Anyone have any ideas on parts? GHS? Cheers G
  8. Hi all, looking for a husqvarna case splitter. Getting plenty of US results but none from UK. Any pointers? Ta G
  9. Awesome. Thank you most kindly.
  10. Thanks Cat, the Simonians website has what I needed. Eddy: I've tried loads of combinations of search terms in the Husky website and got the user manuals no problem. However, I couldn't find the IPL I was looking for. How do you manage to find stuff on there? Is there some Google-Fu I have yet to learn? :-) Seriously, how do you do it? Cheers G By the way, the 090 is now running, needs some more work but it sounds very very healthy :-)
  11. Yup, been on there. No dice. What I'm after are the various exploded views with parts nos. Any pointers?
  12. While I'm about it, has anyone got a link to a schematic for the 365? Cheers G
  13. Thanks guys. I was led to believe that the 365sp and 372 shared the same crankcase while the 365 was slightly different. Obviously not the case. Cheers G
  14. Dear all, Happy New Year! (bit early I know) Problem: I was donated a bundle of parts from what appears to be a Husky 365/365sp/372 However, the crankcases look brand new and have no model badge. Before deciding what to do with them I need to know whether they're bog stock 365 or 365sp/372 as this will dictate what top end goes on them. How will I find out? Any bright ideas? Cheers G
  15. Ok, blame the fuzzy photo... (that's my excuse). Would be nice to compare it to my 090av and the 076. Bit later in the year. December maybe as it would give people (me included) the chance to dust off their big bars.
  16. That's Buxton's counter but -if my eyes don't deceive me- that's a very late model 090 with the new style handle and chainbrake... Where-how-when? We could have a Staffs GTG when mine's running..

    Jonsered 49SP

Hi all, I have a Jonsered 49sp which is surplus to requirements. It's complete and in reasonable nick. Don't want to put it on Ebay as I'm sure there's someone on here who is a Jonsered aficionado. I haven't any other Jonsereds so will be willing to swap for parts for other saws. Currently require 2no Husky 254xp starter assys and a few other husky spares so if you have those or are interested in the saw drop me a line. Cheers G
  18. If I may say so, you have just summed up the evolution of this thread in those few words. Wonderful metaphor if unintentional. Regards G

    Walbro carb kits

Thanks guys, don't know why I didn't think of Rowena. Also looking for 2no husky 254 recoil assys complete. Preferably used OEM. 2 saws with no starters equals 2 ornaments......
  20. Chaps/es, I need a couple of carb kits for Walbro HDA 195 and 198 carbs (HUSKY 357s). Where's the best place to obtain them in the uk please? Cheers Herne
  21. Comes with some double headed nails. I'm talking about fixing the guide board to the log. Not the rails to the guide board. Thanks
  22. What fixings do you use for the mini mill guide board? Finding some difficulty with my current method: screws. Thanks
  23. My 254 xpg. Bought new years ago. Two pistons later and it needs another one now. I wouldn't like to climb over the trees it's felled.. Oh, and my 395 xp is a close second :-)
  24. This would be a good opportunity for recently trained operators to gain valuable experience and work in some spectacular surroundings. It's appreciated that the salary won't attract the Swedish harvester champion. Nevertheless I hope that someone out there with the relevant skills will go for this one and see it as a good starting point. Regards
  25. Timberjack harvester operators to work in Tuscany. Salary: 1200 –2000 euro per month, dependent on productivity + lodgings provided. Would need to work 6 months of the year using Timberjack with processor/harvester head, and Valmet forwarder with pincer. Mid October through to April. Cutting small to medium sized Oak trees 5 - 35cm diameter. Will consider recently trained operators, provided they are able to work hard & handle these machines competently. Email [email protected] with CV & full face photograph please. ________________________________________________________________________
