You could try woodland horticulture, slightly further away near wells. Before wells on the bridgy to wells road. They may even pay you for some, not sure though. -

Iveco over transit allday long. They will pull a chipper like its not there and load as much as you like. I have both and can't wait to change the transit to another Iveco. 2.8 or 3l turbo diesel.

Hi all have a large oak road side in waterlooville to be removed. Think it is about 1m at breast height straight poll to 6-8m plus rest of the timber. Could be a nice piece to mill or for firewood. Likely to be done in next couple of weeks. Any interest let me know. Cheers Carl 07818018400:001_tt2:

Any higher and you won't get a look in round here. Domestic is only £35-40/m.

You won't win the tender at those prices either. Our site fencing is put out at between £28-32/m for 1.8 close board. Price it per plot and all POS or site boundary fencing altogether. It doesn't matter how you do it they only look at the figure at the bottom. Not bad if you can get landscaping and fencing on the same sites.

Thanks for the replies guys. Carl where do you get the Eco plugs from? Was going to drill in to the butt and fill with chemical or salts and leave a bit for them to act. Cheers Carl

Have just be asked to fell four oaks in the Wolverhampton area. Based in Somerset so need to move the timber off site. it will need to be collected with a vehicle that could drive across a golf course fairway as it is along side one of the fairways, hard hats essential, FOUR. The golf course said they would take the smaller stuff but not the bigger bits. cheers Carl

Hi all, some advice needed. I have two customers wanting poplars removed due to the constant suckering from the root system through there lawns and driveways. I have explained that removal will probably make the issue worse. What is the best course of action to chemically kill the tree prior to removal to lessen the subsequent growth from the root system. Any thoughts and methods would be appreciated.

Thanks mountain man, I will suggest the use of ecoplugs after removal. Still a bit concerned how long it may take for the suckered growth on the root system to stop growing.
