  1. ive done this 18 years ago just weed it twice a year for two yrs it will break naturally good root establishment is most important cut third year grass is most problematic when establishing in pure coppice you should get a cut after 5 years

  3. started with subaru pick up husky 154 and an elwell bill hook,progressed to a series 3 landy bought loads more saws a saw mill tractors winchs forwarders etc got sick of it all being stolen or vandalised gone back to the hook and saw .but wouldnt change a thing love the road ive chosen to walk live and learn:001_smile:

  9. have run retorts a few times and yours seems to be under insulated to much gas venting,and burn time should be dictated by gassing ie when the gas stops its charcoal.looks a cracking set up . keep the faith!

  13. have milled it on lumbermate in the past found it to be no different to most pines suffered with fungal stains was difficult to dry,considering the size and board width it didnt generate any extra interest so would probably carve it into big mushrooms next time!
