  1. We have been doing this for years, heras fence wire on a pallet laced up with baler twine so you can undo and get logs out then lace up again and reuse, also smaller ones made from stock fence wire, then when they are nice and dry stack in the shed ready for winter, and repeat until shed is full, simples.
  2. Hi thanks for the info, will be in touch over the summer.
  3. Hi how many bags do you think I could get on a 16ft ifor williams? quantity and weight?
  4. Yes we have used the wire from old heras fencing panels, made a tube fits on a pallet nicely and holds 2 cubic meters
  5. Hi looking to buy hardwood cord, Dorset/Hampshire border. If you have some or know anyone near to me who has please let me know. Thanks.
  6. When she said does my BUTT look big in this what could I say?!!
  7. Hi I did a lot of homework on which trailer to use, the six wheel trailer is the only one to work effectivley. The crane needs to be mounted inside the trailer which minimizes the amount of twist in the chassis. Nose weight of the trailer is not excessive in fact you can fully retract the jockey wheel and the trailer does not drop to the ground, as once the front axel takes the weight there is more weight behind the front axel than in front of it so it's reasonably well balanced. The problem I see with mounting a crane in the middle is not many cranes do 360 and a problem with picking up big butts and trunks.
  8. The crane is an Atlas 810T yes I fitted them myself, the standard jockey wheel still unhitches ok .
  9. Your spot on it varies between £60 and £75 on delivery distance and how many bags they order.
  10. crossed wires, I know how much the logs are worth its the trailer I'm not sure about
  11. Hi looked into all possibilities before I did these trailers and the swing lifts don't have enough reach, the payload of the trailer is about 2 ton, the beauty of it is the crane is self contained and runs off the vehicle battery and can pick up 1 1/2 ton close in and 0.5ton at full reach which is 14ft.
  12. Hi, This is how we deliver our dumpys, they are the 900x900 bags and as you can see we get six on at a time. We have two of these trailers, and just wanted to know what your thoughts were on how to value them.
  13. Hi, looking to buy cordwood hampshire/Dorset border can you quote me on a full load. First time on here so not sure what I'm doing.
