  1. Used the distel with the Hitchclimber for a while and really enjoyed it, but it was Grand Fir or Sitka sap that killed it for me. Swapped the friction cords a few times because of gumming up the knot.

It's what pushed me in the end to ZZ and Art Positioner's.

    Ditto that for me .

Found the vt excellent with the hitch climber though..

  2. No chance of getting a visa , sponsorship or not . An H1-B visa you need a bachelor's degree minimum . You may have one I don't know . I have all my nptcs up to 41 , a job offer and was told by a u.s immigration firm that it still wasn't possible . An H2-b visa which is the seasonal occupation visa is my only possible ( still risky ) option . This is OK for a young single dude but not someone with a family on tow . P.S I'm gutted 😭😭

  3. I personally don't like that set up at all , way too bulky and cumbersome but the main issue I see is the eye end krab fouling the distel hitch . This is a massive no no with friction hitches . The pulley eye to eye is terribly positioned and too thick chord . Probably will work but you could make life so much easier . Hopefully someone will be along soon with the correct set up ☺

  4. Are you a UK national living / working in Vienna or an indigenous "European?"

Just wondering if the humour / sarcasm is being lost in translation?

Kevin i don't know what your going on about as usual . I take my job and safety very seriously . This is what I like about tree climbing ,forestry etc it's a great leveller and a dead 30m sophora doesn't ask to see your race or qualifications .:sneaky2:

  5. Some folk actually don't get it .. With a top handle you are much more inclined to use it one handed whether on the ground or above , but lets just say you are a good little citizen and you use both hands . You just don't have the same control as both hands are very close together , short bar -high power = big kickback =danger .

    Professionals should know this ..
