  1. Unfortunately I precieve Trump as a very venal greedy individual, purely out for himself and his back-scratching business cronies.

    and "screw the environment"

From 2nd hand observations of his relatively recent high-handed Scottish Golf Course exploits & tactics.

I would 100% agree with the N-P diagnosis as mentioned above

    Couldn't agree more . ..

Thought he could just waltz in and bully , manipulate people with his suited bespectacled cronies , puppets . The dunes at Menie are a true gem , I've never seen anything like them , and because he wants to look after his psuedo billionaire golfer bum chums he thinks he can destroy this forever and families that have made their home there . My god there's enough bloody golf courses along the coast anyway

  2. No this is the way to do it as you describe . The limbs are tough and strong just make sure that the limb you anchor round is not dead . As you get higher it should be much easier to get your mainline round behind the stem , give yourself plenty slack and climb a metre or so above your anchor if you can . Shouldn't take you that long really .:001_smile:

  3. The other advantage of the rope guide is one section of it is also a fall arrest system so when/if you fall off your pirch it's going to lessen the shock loading on your gear and body.

I've not got the cacoon on mine and it comes out no bother from the ground as long as you pay attention and put it in right Excellent bit of kit and worth the money.

This actually happened to my mate , the tear away saved his ass big style , ironically he never uses cambium savers either ... Rather be lucky than good :001_smile:

  4. little un interesting fact, haystacks was the heaviest man in the uk according to the guiness book of records in the early eighties 39stone, not far off my wife, but not as ugly

:laugh1::laugh1:  don't know quite how to respond to that :laugh1::laugh1:

  5. Remember well my old grannie gettin into a boiling rage every Saturday afternoon

Think Giant Haystacks is in like the top 5 all time biggest wrestlers , the guy was humungus . If people looked behind the scenes at professional wrestling far and away more serious and extreme injuries involved than Olympic ( freestyle ) wrestling albeit I can't watch pro wrestling . If you want to see extreme human power just youtube Brock lesnars top 10 moments .:thumbup1:

  6. Have to agree with easy lift on the wrestling comment . It's now classed as ' sports entertainment ' anyway now . . so there is no pretense . Brock Lesnar IMO was the greatest athlete the world has ever seen , a 300lb freak show . I was reading the other day about the ' Alaskan Bush People' , apparently 100 % bs , this was from their neighbours in the village they live which is in a normal house , shop at the grocery store etc . The TV company rent a piece of ground nearby and off they go couple times a week to film ..

  7. Baumpflege - treecare , kronenpflege - crowncare , totholz - Deadwood , lichtumprofil - lift , kronensicherung - bracing , kurzung - reduction , rodung - fell , facade - take it off the building 1-2 meters , hebebuhne - hoist ...

  8. Only need the back cut higher to create the hinge on a 45 degree gob cause this coincides with maximum bending moment of the falling stem I believe . 70 degree gob when topping don't need the higher hinge as I understand . Nothing new in slightly downward back cut either , watched a guy chog down an extremely tall pine on YouTube using this method and certainly looked a talented arborist to me .

PS I've never put my backcut below ..

  9. Like Steve i also hate football with a passion , not so much the game itself but the people involved with it .. Claudio Ranieri seems to buck the trend for me , no foul mouth bs and very dignified and humble person , well that's certainly how he comes across . Never won a major league with any club which truelly does make it a fairytale ...:thumbup1:

  10. Out of interest what method did you use for tapping?

In Ukraine where it's extensively harvested they don't drill it . just a piece of angle stainless or alloy hammered in to the tree with filtered bottle below . Normal to add sugar and perhaps lemonjuice , drunk quickly as doesn't keep well , absolutely invigorating drink cold :thumbup1:

  11. What's going on in the UK ? The above gentleman headline sportsnews SHOCK , HORROR .... Caught with a shisha pipe !!!!!

Hobby of 12-14 year old Turkish boys , very popular in mainland Europe , not a drop of alcohol or trouble to be seen . What a very very naughty boy ..:confused1::001_smile:
