  1. Has no one tried a petzl double hand ascender above the zz and a pantin.

I havnt tried it yet but imagine it will be good.

Ill post back when ive had a go.

Yes this is what I do ...

Waste of energy though now I've seen the versatility of the hitch hiker , which is for another thread I suppose :001_smile:

  2. Well it all ended tears , literally.

The long awaited WWE superstars UFC debut came to a bit of an unceremonious end when he got his ass handed to him in just over a minutes action by a young two fight professional.

Should he get another go or will Dana scratch him ?

Meanwhile that big nasty Croat looks the ticket :thumbup1:

  3. I don't think collies make good house pets especially with kids.

I've known a number of them turn. They're known to be highly strung and like most working breeds, if they aren't doing what they were bred to I.e working. Then they are susceptible to behaviour problems. I know not everyone will agree with me but it's what I've experienced over the years.

If I was looking for a dog to have as a pet with kids a collie wouldn't even make the list as a possibility.

    Yes ..

Not a nice situation at all ..

But by god would that dog be earning it's keep , even if it means carrying the messages home every day

  4. you would of come back on a day with favourable conditions... Not just for felling climbing also , lombardy is unlike black or hybrid in terms of its holding wood abilities it's even more brittle and twice as sail like so i think to any one who said they would of climbed it in those gusts has never done a big lombardy in heavy wind.

    100% ...

  5. Good reaing through this post,, Diagnosed with UC 2 years ago after having pheumonia and stopping smoking ,, its at the end of my system so not as bad as alot of other people but my inflammation markers have never been under control since finding out but the doctors say im recovering , after trying lots of drugs which made me worse im now on imuno suppressants(chemo drug ), and ive had to give up forestry work on the saw , sold my sawmill due to struggling to hump timber around and stress of not know when the next money is coming , and now doctors say ive got cronic fatigue which could be due to the steriods or something im just gonna have to live with ,

IM waiting for things to get better because it has messed alot of my life up,

That's a tough call .. if you have ME I know what's ahead and I'm afraid there is nothing good to say about this illness , I should know , i had it for 5 years and it's physically and mentally devastating.

I read statistics saying only 10% of people recover , just make sure you are in that 10% like I did . As hard a battle as it is I came out the other side a bigger person physically and mentally .
