  1. The only difference being the ridges in the stem.

Dont really get ridges in the stipe just fibrousy . I think your picture shows an older dried out / dessicated specimen . The one i showed will darken down the stipe and go the same way i would suggest . But i aint no fung expert could be doing with a pair of more informed eyes :001_smile:

  2. Cap 6-15cm . Dark brown chocolate coloured with contrasting , light gills .

Flesh is creamy white turning brown in the stipe .

Habitat - On WAYSIDES and forest boundaries on CHAFF or ruderal locations in various types of forest .

Apparently the species is extremely difficult to identify positively however all are edible but unpleasant apparently . looks identical to the picture in my guidebook , timing july - october seems to fit also . :confused1::001_smile:

  3. dread to think how much that costs! Our kids middle school sent home a letter about the school trip for year 5's. Going to some adventure type place for 3 days and wanted about £300!

I get the feeling its more about the teachers than the kids :001_smile:

  4. Local radio DJ said yesterday that a school in Aberdeen were going to Los Angeles for their annual school trip . Shocked at this , i told my wife when i got home .. she then went on to say her friend at works kids were going scuba diving to Trinidad for theirs !!!

    Changed days indeed !

  5. would you rather do a 10 hour day for £25 or £200 a month for doing nothing? i perosnally wouldnt sign on, but then i defentatley wouldnt work for £25 a day either

Started in this industry with one of the large utility company's 10 years ago . £5.65 / hr .. and i was 32 with a mortgage, responsibilities and most of my NPTC units ?? Not much more than the op :001_smile:

  6. Might aswell sign on the dole if you are going to work for £25 a day!! ive worked in commercial forestry for nearly two years ive got my cs 30 31 32 mo1 and pa1 and pa6aw and i only get payed £75 a day and supply all gear so probaly make £60, i think i get ripped off really but works work untill i find something else thats better, if i knew what i know now i wouldnt of got into handcutting work, i think theres more money in establishment but there aint any more work i enjoy than felling trees :)

Rather stand in a dole queue ?? seriously ???

  7. bit of a cowboy outfit on the ground though, what with all the mixed messages. He nailed that landing though :-)

Agreed , they need to sharpen up their communication .. too many mixed messages i thought . He went down like Didea Drogba when he stepped off that capsule , awesome .
