  1. yell.com is the biggest rip off from my previous dealings with other industries. The pages generate some enquiries but most about price as everyones said. Google places is fairly good (and free)
  2. Will have a check. I'm borrowing my mates husky 346xp so will see what he has fitted to it.
  3. Just got a petzl vent from Jones' . Will see how it goes! If it complies and protects me thats all that matters.

    One Oak

I found it very interesting and watched the whole longer video. Im a complete novice so was nice to see some techniques used and how something larger than average was felled.
  5. Thanks for the advice. Think I will see if I can borrow a groundy helmet for the course but get a climbing one of my own afterwards, solves all then.
  6. Just a quickie. If I bought a petzl tree climbers helmet, would that be ok for the cs30/31 or are they specific about a ground helmet? Im eventually wanting to end up climbing but don't see the point of buying 2 helmets. Thanks guys.
  7. Does anybody know if the Stihl dynamic type C trousers are out yet, if so are they any good? can't find anything about them anywhere
  8. Thanks, cleared things up nicely. Least ill be nice and warm in winter with the C's.
  9. Thanks for the advice guys. Just to confirm, definitely on about trouser trousers not chaps lol. Had an offer from a mate to lend me chaps but I politely declined (id rather cut my leg off) Now somebody mentioned not being allowed chaps for 30/31 because of cat A only, does this mean I should get cat C trousers for the course? I was going to get SIP innovation pro's in A. Also im 30-32" so judging by clarks size guide i'd need smalls?
  10. Hi, I'm Andy and i'm pretty new to this. I have booked onto a cs 30/31 course in November and slowly sorting out my gear. Now this is probably dumb, but when buying chainsaw trousers, what size do you get? What I mean is, do you wear them next to your skin, or do you put them over some combats, or do you wear a base layer underneath? Thanks in advance guys.
  11. i'm in the same area as you and I have just booked the cs 30/31 at Bishop Burton for £599 I think it was. Give them a call.
