  2. If it is better than the fm10T that I used to split 24 inch wide (12 inch thick) knotty oak because nothing manual would touch it then it is more than OK for home use. It does need the duocut wedge fitted to make splitting the hard stuff easier. It is obviously slower than a splitter designed for commercial use but effective none the less.
  3. Didn't anyone notice that this thread is over 2 years old and has been resurrected? Steve
  4. If anyone wants to check their own images are not being used elsewhere then TinEye Reverse Image Search searches the internet for other instances. It doesn't find all of them but may locate some blatant misuse. Steve
  5. Chainsaw shavings are OK for chickens but they don't use it for bedding because they roost on perches. The shavings are just to stop the droppings forming a solid smelly mass under the perches and wherever else they poop. It is about as effective as the bales of large shavings available from feed merchants and is free. Dust isn't a problem when I use it and anyway, the people who claim dust is bad give probably also recommend giving hens a dust bath. Steve
  6. Time for another view on a half load. Have any of you thought that either because someone has lost his job or because they can't afford a full bag in the run up to Xmas they are asking for a half bag. Not everyone is flush with money. Maybe if you supply it they will call you first when the situation improves. I would. Then again, if you are so over-run with orders I can understand you refusing to supply but not ridiculing the potential customer. I'll get my coat !! Steve
  7. I see a lot on the famous auction site but what it the difference between a 2 pin and a 4 pin. Also, Is there any issue with the cheapo meters for a house owner who just wants a rough guide to moisture level. They claim +-1% so I can live with that if it is close to what is actually achieved. (EDIT: Someone already answered second question)
