  1. According to my accountant the annual allowance has been put up to £100000. It was £25k. If you spread the allowance it is spread over several years after the tax year and you still end up paying tax. Depends if you plan on buying more equipment each year, I took the whole allowance last year.It was only £25k this year and I plan on buying more equipment so it would've pushed over that boundary but now they have moved the allowances to £100k.
  2. 1m3 for £70 . 2m3 for £130 that's loose tipping. Loaded with a 1m3 bucket on jd loader. Lincolnshire. Pretty much same as everyone else around my area
  3. I have a hakki pilke, to make 5" logs I made a stop or spacer and just bolted it to the original stop. Just a piece of metal or hard wood ? A lot of cutting though. I agree with making sure you fit a decent size fire though!
  4. Ancaster, Lincolnshire. Ng32 3rj

  5. I am looking for someone but I think you may be too far to travel
  6. Starting around 5th Nov till Christmas. Applicant must have cs30 31& 38. Working with general public and commercial clients. Must be hard working!! Be polite and respectful. A good knowledge of lowering etc. Work shirts provided. Will be working with my climber and myself. If applicants can do a day before then to make sure standards are met will be good. Thanks for looking, Will Simpson 07737670397
  7. Most of my calls go through to my mob and I've not got a full time secretary so need to answer it when it rings. Also when going to quote jobs I've often gone and looked at a job only to return and found a contact form from same village/town!highly annoying. Otter box looks bomb proof but like having a brick in your pocket. I will have to look into it before it breaks!
  8. Can anyone recommend one? I've never had a iPhone, had a touch screen Motorola and it lobbed across the yard.....shocking phone! Wouldn't answer calls most of time. It'll be in my chainsaw trouser pocket most of time so wants to sweat proof:001_smile:
  9. Anything from £7 to £9/ m in Lincolnshire. But depends on client, hedge, and materials needed. Price was with binders and stakes. That's based on 40m /day. Obviously a lot more depending on m/day if say 25m.
  10. Thanks guys, I had a chap in yard other day with a jcb(or comatsu) he charged me £50/h. Can gaurentee he won't turn up with his digger, mog and lo loader for an hr! Plus I don't know many that can get through a 37" gateway. When I priced it I was thinking I've got the machine, trailer, another truck, myself, insurance and fuel/ware n tare. It's soon up there with a jcb
  11. Prob a sore subject as its very similar to chipper and man etc etc But if it's not something you do day in day out what do you charge per hr. mine has got a lot of work past few months but then it might not go out the shed for a month. mine was an old machine so I priced it at £40/hr. is that cheap?? I'm only asking so please don't be offended.
  12. We do bits every year. Nice job for a day! Gets very boring after a mile!
  13. Im after a new or ex demo/ not many hrs second hand. I've had a rayco for a few years. It's time to change. Are the predators any good, there is a rayco on tracs, how's that one. Carlton, I have no idea. Big problem I need it's in yesterday as mine is dead! Prices would be usefull too. Thanks for any advice Will
  14. It started slipping. Are there clutch plates I need to replace? Or is it done by magnet strength? It doesn't seem to have as much power in the magnet as before.i can turn it by hand with wheel engaged. Any places in uk for spares? Thanks
  15. I have a quadtrac 160 with 600 hrs on the clock. Best investment I've bought. So versatile, can be used as a normal road tow or take it off it's trailer(also greenmech's) and can go anywhere with it. Also tows vans and trucks out when stuck!!
  16. I ended up changing my company name after I bought my business partner out a few years ago. Best thing I ever did. The similar company named is renouned for what could be classed as "gypsy" standards. It was our fault from the start as we chose the name then realised after it was very similar to the opposition. But things were rolling by then. It's amazing how much extra work I get now with the different name. Funniest thing is that the said other company still goes around bad mouthing my company to our customers which on most occasions works out me getting the job as the client says its very poor practise to talk down the competition. I've never met the other owner either
  17. Nice job, seriously thinking about getting one of them stabbing tools myself.
  18. Unfortunately they weren't marked. Only bought the top handle 3wks ago from a friend! I'll have to keep my eye on the old ladies! Come to think some coppers had stopped an old lady down road after she'd passed us, she was trying to push her OAP trolley down the grass verge after the footpath stopped! Maybe it was too heavy to push with my saw and fuel can!
  19. We were working on the side of road and they were taken. Unfortunately we were out of sight. Thanks Will
  20. Jonsie - what breaking strain is the 11mm?
  21. Ancaster, near sleaford big bolt. Miketm150, how much you selling the 20m rolls for or is that what your using?
  22. To help myself and climber feed chipper tidy etc. £70/day 8hrs/ day 07737670397 Will
  23. I need some so I don't keep wrecking my ropes. One coil maybe 50m long 12mm? Open to suggestions. One that I can put on the back of tractor to make sure it goes the right way
