  1. What are the laws about climbing trees in public places e.g. local woods etc, i guess you can climb a tree in a woods with out ropes on your own no problem but what happens when you rope up? do you have to inform the council, is it forbidden, can you just do it etc etc? Thank You Arran

  8. Okey, I underrstand that it would be hard to book a full week as its as and when your called, so a side business would be in order. So as a freelance climber you had a set price per day? Sounds like im hooked on money im not i just want to know the ins and outs lol Thank You ! Arran

Im just getting started in the arb industry and freelancing seems to have caught my eye, and now i have questions:001_rolleyes: Is there enough money in freelancing to do it full time as such Obviously you need to be quick and good at what you do, so how long has it taken you guys to get to a position where you are What are the worst bits What are the best bits p.s i know you cant just advertise as a freelance climber and i understand ive got years ahead of me before im compitant but it would be a nice goal/ aim for myself Thank You Arran
  11. Its a tricky one really, some people love dogs and some hate. Would help bringing a puppy when pricing work for female customers Arran
  12. Ive seen over the years dogs on site, with domestic landscapers and tree surgeons breeds mainly being springers and lots of jack russels. What do you guys think of having a dog on site or do any of you have one? Just wondering what peoples opinions are? Im not thinking of getting one by the way, can just look after myself... Arran

  14. Its just a major pain in the ass, worst of all whilst im driving at the moment im not getting any no claims. I would of thought that if i was in a van the insurance would of thought hang on he is not going to race about in a transit van, but i was wrong its all about insurance groups engine size etc. I wondered why when i asked my driving instructor how much he thought insurance would be on a van he 'never really knew'.
  15. I would ideally like to get a van/pick up but i cant find insurance anywhere im getting quoted 7k for 2000 plate singlecab ford ranger on confused. I have a bad postcode RM17. Currently im insured on a little suzuki sj c regs on my dads business insurance for 1800. anyone got a clue how to get insurance down to at least under 3k or i guess wait til 21 Thank you Arran
  16. where about in arb do you guys find the big tree's, as in is it commerial domestic estate work and if abroad how did you end up out there. I seem to really like the thought of climbing big trees, not anytime soon though need to walk before running thank you arran
