  2. A butchered crol works good and keeps well out the way
  3. Such a shame these trees had to be felled, fencing them off would be more than sufficient, I have worked on these trees before and from a visual point of view they were no worse than any other tree I have ever climbed. Health and safety gone mad!!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. I have cord wood for sale road side collection near corf castle, if your still looking. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Sounds good il be interested in DB Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Also try using a 6 wrap knot, and position the double fishermans on the bridge of the knot. This will give you a clean line to pull the pinto through the loop. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Zubat all the way for me, had strait for 10 years then tried the zubat and now hooked on it. It has a small roller on the infeed of the scabbard, so you get a smooth action in/out and it avoids cutting your casing up. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. I made this at the weekend, works much better without a krab attachment to the HC Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Looks a nice neat bit of kit, just wonder if how long the components will last and can they be replaced individually? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. I've recently bought a spiderjack and using a year old Yale imori rope, wich works well but thinking of trying Samson velocity as imori seems a bit soft and doesn't always self tend perfectly, any thoughts?

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
