just thinking a portable stove would be better for keeping lit, easier to cook on than a fire and doesn't need the same attention as a camp fire does, wondered if this one was actually viable or would it just turn into a ball of heat and be impossible to feed? also would it work effectively being so small? cant help thinking it would be better with a swing door rather than a sliding hatch?

thinking about a potable stove for camping etc I will end up making my own from a gas bottle I have a couple of part built ones I got when a hippy kinda place shut down but saw this on ebay and wondered what people thought? would it actually be any good? used one of them at college quite enjoyed using it although I did once stand up thinking I was clear of it and skulled meself of one of the dog holders

and some loon will buy it I take it you are sharpening it between rocks? not just hammering on with a blunt chain otherwise sparks will be the least of your troubles, get yourself on a cs 30 course it will give you a good grounding in understanding whats goes wrong, why and how to fix it p.s your pic is scary

had a pair of haix boots that lasted a week! the lining bunched up inside and cut right into the top of my foot! no amount of manipulation would shift it

need to get the flywheel off to see if cleaning whatever lives behind it (someone said its points in there?) helps get the spark back

if you NEED 4wd go for it otherwise save the cash up here in wet boggy rough terrain its a must but if your in fairly flat dry(ish ) conditions 2wd should be fine just make sure you have a good amount of ballast on -
never seemed to bother my ol' husky troos, and they got tested when I slipped on some submerged wood in a bog! I still have both legs

id still have it any day as for price well since landrover announced no more defender all landrover shaped landrovers have jumped in price old rusty shi**ers that you would have got for £400 now going for £1000+ and people are paying!!
