  1. Thank you! I really appreciate you recognising us! David I tried catching you in Charlotte but your stand was flat out and you were always busy talking to customers and I didn't want to interupt a sale. A great sign of the interest in your product though.... X, I'm emailing you now!!! Thanks for the reminder. Trev
  2. What i like about the futura is your grip on the rope is just like without an ascender, so it feels real natural to me. I find a handled on puts more bend on my wrists and is less comfortable. I just wish the finish on them was as nice as most of the other brands...but the compact size & natural rope like grip means there is one in my hip pack!
  3. Wow! Just read this whole thread, yes the whole thread! Ok, in 4 sittings throughout the day but still... It's great to see the discussion unfold and a few people turnaround their beliefs from: "No way, can't see it, DRT for life for me" to "Hmmm, i might give this a try" to "Just ordered one, cant wait for it to turn up" to "Tried it out today, dunno...dont think i like it... to "OK, i've figured out a different way of planning my climb" and "Now i'm getting work done faster with less energy" to "I'm never going back to D(inosaur)RT" Very cool!
  4. G'day Ewan! I didn't know i were on here either:biggrin:
  5. Cheers Reg! Fun night that hey, i were pretty smashed by the end but tequila will do that!
  6. Here's a decent size Victorian Mountain Ash removal job. Nice to get out of the office and go have a bit of fun playing with new gear on this one! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akZ527VoTsc]TREEGEAR TV | 65m Vic Mountain Ash Tree Removal - YouTube[/ame]
  7. I know theres a rock climbing company that offers a $20 trade in on old rope. Encourages you to update more often & they recycle the old ropes.
  8. The thimble is now available from DMM as a part so your local DMM dealer should have it soon.
  9. Full Time positions with consistent 5 days a week plus all the benefits of tax, superannuation, public holidays, annual leave & sick pay all taken care of will likely run $20-35 per hr Sub Contractors without any of the above might be $35-$40 for a novice wanting to get out there, $40-60 for good productive, self-sufficient climbers with their own saws & rigging gear, $60-100+skys the limit proportionate to the the value you bring.
  10. I spoke to Pfanner yesterday & they have confirmed it will be available in other colors too:thumbup1: The Red/HiViz Yellow is standard for forestry work in their part of the world i'm told. Red/Yellow is their corporate branding so for product launches etc it makes sense they will show red/yellow.
