  1. Will be looking out for any snide looking orange things but it's probably miles away by now, by the way are you psychic as you're post says it was (or will be?) stolen on august 17th 2011,anyhoo sorry for your loss !
  2. Just small word of advice, don't tell the ministry "ever" that you run overloaded even in jest, as they have spies everywhere and fines can run into thousands even for small infringements, ignorance is no excuse!
  3. You all seem to be missing my point, I may have an hgv licence but I don't want to only be an hgv driver ,(from some of the replies, as usual i've been pigeon holed as exactly that!). I mean if thats the case if you have a normal driving licence ,should you automatically be a courier or a taxi driver? Also I havn't said that I was only looking locally for work, but if the cost of traveling to a site ,is more than you're being paid for being there, it's a completely pointless exercise, working for nothing i'm already doing, I can't afford to pay to work for someone else which would in effect, be what I was doing;-).
  4. A year ago I passed my cs30/31 and cs38 and was advised to get more experience before taking cs39. Which is difficult as no-one will employ you (even to drag brash)without experience and when I mention my age apparently at 44 i'm unemployable.I don't receive benefits and have been living on my savings since being made redundant in april 2010, I didn't get a redundancy payment due to contractual litigation. My previous job was as a class 1 hgv driver which I vowed not to go back to as I worked for ten years at night ,had no contact with anyone outside the depot enviroment, and had no life basically what-so-ever,I still don't really have much of a life as I have no mates but working for free in the local wood which i''m partially managing, makes me feel alive when driving never has. I've undertaken small gardening, hedgcutting jobs, but have made less than £1000 in the last 8 months, my money is virtually all gone. Kinda losing the will to live!
  5. Happy or distressed distel?
  6. HC doesn't burn very well , you can log it up, but unless you're going to do a 9-1 mix (the 9 being the other hardwoods) for sale, don't expect repeat business from your customers, carvers or turners might be interested in it before it drys too much. Selling it to people who you don't want coming back it also another idea ,which of course I wouldn't be condoning in any way ;-)
  7. How much do you consider as bulk in m3!
  8. £100 is pretty steep unless it's mint, they usually sell on ebay for £60-80, I guess you're into weight lifting if you're after an 056, they aint they light option.
  9. Fish tailing is caused by three things generally, having an uneven load, not enough weight over the "A" frame connector( ie the tow ball),or having to much weight for the trailer, sometimes crosswinds, slight load shifting, dodgy tyre pressures or erratic driving can be a factor, please remember never try to accelerate ,brake hard ,or steer out of the weave it'll only make it worse, just take your foot off the gas gradually , steer in a straight line, and dump the gears one after the other, without braking if possible, i've had quite a few artic trailers loose there brakes fully loaded running at 35tonnes + and it's the only way to stop them jacking out. By the way isn't 2 tonnes behind a micra kinda daft! StaySafe
  10. Silly old fool looking for any work in cheltenham or surrounding area, being 44years young, i'm apparently too old to be employed by several arb contractors, qualified class 1 hgv driver (no i'm not fat or lazy!) chainsaw cs30/cs31 and cs38 ariel rescue, cscs construction site labourers health and safety card.Own transport and ppe. Anything going e.mail me at [email protected] currently managing small woodland for free just for something to do bored silly and very skint! Cheers
  11. I had 12 climbing mates who apparently didn't think risk was a factor i'm 43 they are no more "think about it"?
