  2. Well i think its a good choice, prob end up with a single wheel one cause the twin wheel ones are like rocking horse ****! I think ill sell ranger john cant justify two vehicles at the moment really!!

Hi all, im thinking of getting a nissan cabstar tipper, because most of my work is domestic tree and hedge work, and think it will be a good all rounder little truck rather than a larger truck e.g. transit iveco etc I run a ford ranger at the moment but want something with a bit more chip carrying capacity. Heard some good reviews about them, just wondered what other tree folk who use them think of them, running costs, pulling ability etc Another thing is that alot of the older ones are single rear wheels and dont think that would be suitable! Anyone??

  12. I think word of mouth is the best source of jobs, but if your like me and just gone self employed in the last year or so its getting going thats the hard bit, as for advertising its a tough one i think!!
  13. yeah gonna try a green wheel for my bench grinder first, and if i dont succeed i will splash out and buy angle grinder with diamond disc!!
  14. yeah its prob the way forward, its just at the last company i worked for used some sort of fine wheel for bench grinder and it sharpened them up a good un!!

Hi all, just wondered what evay one used to sharpen there stump grinder teeth with, ive just been using my bench grinder with a fine stone wheel but it doesnt seem to get a decent finish on the tooth, i know the diamond discs are prob the best thing, just wondered if there was some cheaper options?

  19. I have a ford ranger 05 supercab, i have a metal little chipbox on back and i find a fork and 5mins to unload is alot cheaper than £2500 on a tipper

Just having some problems with my entec chipper, its the 2000 model with the 4cylinder kubota diesel engine, when i start her up and leave it on tickover every 30/40 secs the revs drop right down to nearly stalling and back up again and it does this constantly but never stalls, so when im chipping the revs drop down and obviusly feed rollers stop when it does it!? any ideas??

  24. Hi everyone, i have a rayco rg20 and it needs new bearings either side of the cutting wheel, im just wondering if anyone knows what bearings they are - make/model as i want to order two new ones. i have even rung orange plant and they dont know!! many thanks!!!
