  1. I was with a couple of the boys from this firm from Hant's today, they were telling me about the theft, As this is the only 1 in the South posting a picture if you have one might help people to recognise
  2. I would try and avoid at all costs, I know sub contractors that went down that route, Yes they received their money quickly at a cost to themselves but the companies that supplied them with work soon stopped giving them work as finance departments get fed up of being hassled and threatened by the banks on a monthly basis which in turn leads to contract managers being leant on to use different suppliers, unfortunately its all part of the merry go round when working for large outfits with their terms and cash flows.
  3. Near Miss/Hazard reporting highlights peoples attitude to their own and that of others safety, a 20p 20sec phone call may save some ones life. At the end of the day No one is paid enough to go home in an Ambulance or a box. If you find near miss reporting an inconvenience and a waste of time then I wouldn't want to work with you or employ you. Near miss reporting will identify any trends that are occurring and hopefully avoid accidents.
  4. Fountains has not gone bust. It is a dormant company. Connaught Plc brought Fountains last year, from this, connaught merged their existing GM/Landscape/Arb contracts with Fountains to form Connaught Environmental (CEL), CEL is a division of Connaught group which is formed by Compliance, Environmental and Partnerships. Only Group and Partnerships have been placed into administration, Compliance and CEL are stand alone business. Not having a pop at anyone but I hope that this clears the issue up with people, as there are a lot of direct and sub contract staff employed by Connaught who have enough to deal/worry with, without people surmising to give them more to worry about its a tough world out there at the moment.

    powerline live

which DNO does this come under, I can point you in the right direction for EDF. As others have said, unless you have the correct tickets, insurance and DNO approval you are better of staying clear. depending on the voltage, they may give you a shut down to carry out the work
