‘Twas cold in my box this morning, had problems with a power outage yesterday, the bloke who owns the unit got a spark out who restored power only for it to fail during the night. I’ve shoved the genny outside until the spark can get back later today.

You're entitled to an explanation at the least even if all cop actions were done in good faith.
If the van has PNC markers on it they can be removed when they're no longer relevant as last night's episode should have made them - irrelevant.
Getting to the stage of cuffing you without you're knowing why sounds a bit strong but with due respect to you there are usually two sides to a story
You being ex job does this sound right? I contacted 101 and they said they would get an officer to call me, 9am today I get the call, (this is the bit that at the moment I’m not having) copper tells me the van is stolen recovered, he went onto say that there had been an error, he couldn’t explain where but basically it was reported stolen and not as recovered. This as far as I know isn’t correct, it’s not logged as stolen/recovered with DVLA. The reason I got the van at a good price is there’s light accident damage pretty much all down the near side, and the rear axle is damaged, hence it being recovered.

Larch felling up Goyt today so I'll keep my boomarang handy
I have faint memories of seeing one as a kid but not see one up that way for ages
Probably been eaten by hungry van-lifers post covid
It wouldn’t surprise me if van lifers had eaten them all going by the amount of vans parked around there and the Peak District yesterday. Rows of them in some lay-bys, not even trying to hide

Down there for tree work
Only trying to save you a few quid bud, why by a dedicated crockery tarp when the customer is providing a free shelter for the crock’s..,

Interesting approach. We'll try keeping the tray, but covered with a tarp...
Empty the tray on the table then cover the crockery with it. Up here for thinking..,

Anyone else have a rule of taking the empties back as soon as your finished? Introduced that after filling one too many sugar bowls with chipper dust.
Terrible mistake Doug, if the coffee is good keep hold of the mugs for at least an hour, on the grounds you may get offered another brew.

Probably the most famous balcony in the world. I remember this vividly, our eldest kid, his mate and I were watching Hurricane Higgins in the snooker when it cut off and the balcony scene came on, our kids mate said, who smokes the most Embassy’s then, the SAS or Higgins, very quick considering Higgins was a chain smoker and Embassy were a popular brand of ciggies back in the day.

Anyone live near The Roaches, Staffordshire Moorlands. I’ve been a ride over today to see if I could spot any Wallabies, got speaking to two locals separately, one told me that he believed the winter of 2010 killed the colony off, the other told me that there had been sightings much later, perhaps 2018-2020. I remember seeing then as a kid but that was 40+ years ago, maybe even longer. Anyone local with any more info?

I had Draoer measure given to me by a company I buy some bits from 5-6 years ago, still going strong. The then Mrs Egg called in there to grab me a few things and one of the lads behind the counter gave here another tape measure and said give this to Egg so I ended up with two. Considering the conditions I used them in I’m amazed they’ve lasted.

It certainly is amazing, that we can agree on. Hope the Komatsu is still going strong.
Since you worked your magic on that little saw it’s never missed a beat, ideal for my use.

Of course it is true but this article is leaving out key facts that have led to the statement being true just for superficial political gain rather than being an unbiased review.
£140 billion or so was spent by the incumbent government to support the UK population and this needs paying back in the real world.
I just hate trash journalism like this... right?
Can we do religion tomorrow night?
Amazing!

Your original post stated that "the public would be worse of at the end of this parliamentary term for the first time in modern history".
I was merely putting forward two good contributing factors as to why this would be the case and why the writer of this article is just going for a dramatic headline.
It’s not true then, is that what you are saying?

TBH, having seen that many budgets, they have stopped being of interest to me.....smoke and mirrors each time to kid you you are better off when all the time, you are being done.
Better off avoiding the news as it is soooooo depressing!

Why try to back them up then with nonsense?

I think you have to remember the fact the country has been furloughed at great expense through covid and was heavily subsidised on the cost of fuel due to the Ukraine/Russian war.
It is easy to forget and think it was all free money but it is based on Government borrowing and now needs paying back.
Nearly 14 years of austerity and you want to blame Covid. You’re dafter than I thought.

It’s gone cold quickly, 13 degrees yesterday, 3 degrees today. Winter on its way.

What a fabulous bit of doublespeak. Is she winning a psychological war against hardened villains with a playful winky ear, diffusing potentially violent situations with a wet nose?
It did make me smile, I gave way for translation.

It's almost the same with Christmas adverts, they seem to get even more dire every year.
But hats off to Iceland, for saying we're not doing it and passing on the savings. Granted it's all smoke and mirrors but anyone that's sent me a black Friday email is high up my avoid where possible list.
I bet they are gutted.

Put it in the back of your van and invite the coppers back?
I’ll give that a miss, the less I see of the police the better.

Would you be happy with doing time if that Dog gets out and rips up a child while your looking after it?
Do your mate and the world a favour and off the mongrel.
I’m looking after him, he won’t get out of here while he’s under my watch. I muzzle him, which I don’t like having to do when I take him out. He’s not my dog to off. My question was more about the breed rather than this rescue dog.

No, come over here and tell him he’s a prick.

They are not bad Dogs generally, known to be loyal and good with kids.
That dog needs a bullet by the sounds of things though.
I’m not so sure, while it’s with me it will be restrained. My point is, it’s a rescue dog that I think will be ok with the right care. Breeding from him was a bad move in my opinion.
