  1. None disappeared over night. An advert on FB marketplace lead to the sale.of it all for £20 per load. Around ten loads in pickups, trailers, vans. Apparently lime wood was used for brake blocks in horse drawn carts because it wouldn't burst into flames... 😳
  2. Today's job... A large dead standing lime likely killed off by the surrounding honey fungus, armillaria. Followed by a fun free climb of a large nearby oak tree that has been loosing large limbs for the last three decades due to being crowded out by younger trees competing for light.   17. There's nothing stopping any concerned party asking their local tree officer to look at a tree and put a TPO on it if there is reason to believe their is an intent to fell.

  23. I've a tree planting program to restock the local area. I give advice to retain and replant trees where possible and appropriate. If a client wants to take down a particularly beautiful or hertasge tree I would be prepared to inform tree officers and get a TPO on the tree.
