  3. Any ideas how easy it is to take off the top roller as mine is a bit dull, guna run some hardening around the edge. Its an A530 with the conical top roller. thanks for anyfeed back
  4. Its a right pain in the bum when you have to either go back down to unhook a branch or when yon smash the bugger out of a lovely growth point you have left, top downwards everytime!
  5. I have got isc mighty mouse beena on my SJ, it pulls slightly to one side, would it be better with an oval beena?
  6. Do it, its so smooth and easy to use, plus you can look like a proper spiderman
  7. I use Tachyon on my Sj and its really nice smooth, locks off and really good to work with, it was my first 'thin' rope from a 13mm rope and i wouldnt go back.
  8. Right are slings saying they are 2m does that mean its 1m tip to tip??? helps please..

  10. love my spikes, i know people who dont use them and dont like them, but what else do you do if you are chogging down a stem, just get on with it, the more you use the more you like!
  11. looks like top stuff, been using my jack for about a month now, wish i had got one 5 years ago, i like your way of having a swivel on your harness guna bag one of those, is it the big or small? cant wait to get new parts on my jack ruddy velcro!
  12. 2 blokes and chipper about £350 a day, i think if i was anymore people would get a 'do as you likey' to do it, never undercut yourself or people round you or the prices will just keep going down, i know builders who charge 200 a day and they havnt got ticket and insurance and mad tree skillz! What we do its not only dangerous but pretty hard on your body and cost money.
  13. Do you find the 15m is long enough?? i use a SJ and my flip line most so...
  14. Do you blokes have 2 ropes or just make do with one? if so what lengths?? and is it one for big trees(long) and a short one for conifer? i need a new rope and find it a right pain in the bum pulling 35m through when im sitting on a coni stump about to hop to the next. ?
  15. i like that i often finds that my rope gets pulled to high to self tend, a micro pully lower down my system is a good idea, cheeers i must purchase one and give it a bash. what do you use on your other end? or do you use a lanyard???

  17. i need a new rope a little vote i think Poison Ivy hi vi??? VS Tachyon im going from 13mm to use on a SJ. i know there are loads of threads on this but , there my 2 choices.
  18. let us know how u get on with the poison ivy, i need to buy a new rope to go with my SJ, and am very temted with the hi vi ivy, also if you have a spliced eye do you have to run the whole length through the sj????

  20. Yeah, nowhere near me stocks them, need to find one to try on and have a good gay time in the canopy. How hardy are they? iv got a willians i find it is bomb proof but squzzes me frank and beans together sometimes and i would like the rope bridge...
