  1. The piston looks good no scoring although when I hold the saw by the pull cord it does drop a little quicker than my newer stihls. The carb looks ok and there doesn't seem to be a return to tank that I can see.. Any more thoughts.
  2. £39 delivered! That's incredible... Do you own a time machine. £56 round here( Kent/ Sussex boarder)
  3. Feel for you mate got all saws pinched a couple of years back. Insurance will sort. The thing I hate about it is these feckless charlatans take away a mans ability to work and support his family. If I ever catch one of them at it I'll show them what a saw can do.
  4. Cheers chaps will do tomorrow.
  5. I have a friends 262xp which starts fine and runs well until it gets warm, if you stop it it will not re-start until it is cool. It has a new spark and ht lead, a fairly new magneto, the carb seems fine. I am only really familiar with stihl and would appreciate any ideas as to what it could be. My next step was the air filter. Thanks in advance, Nipper.
  6. Mccains " we hope it's chips"

    362 or 440

Chainsaws are like guitars each one is unique my 441 is a Gibson sg. My 261 is a strat and my new 150t is a Flying V I don't have a preference over husky or Stihl. If the saw is right then the saw is right. I know this doesn't help you much but I have no probs with my 441. It is on the money every time I pull it over.
  9. Niacinimide which is vit b3 and cannabis oil.

    Jokes???

A man strolls into a pub with three stunning barmaids behind the ramp entertaining a bunch of lads. He see a sign behind the bar which reads: Cheese sarnies £2.50 Chicken sarnies £4.00 Hand jobs £10.00 He rifles through his pockets as quick as he can to find some money and beckons the best looking girl over. "Hellooooo" she says " how can I be of service?" "Erm are you the one who does the hand jobs?" Says the chap. " I most certainly am" she purrs " good now go and wash your hands and make me a cheese sarnie please"!!!

gtr I have huge admiration for the lifeboat service, my father was a merchant sailor in the 60's on the oil tankers. He always told me it was one thing to be caught out at sea in a storm, but it takes real courage to leave the safety of the harbour as the life boats do. Good man.

I'll be visiting all of the fences I have done in the past as the bottoms of the posts that were meant to be in the ground sell well as logs!

How is everyone preparing for the forecast winds on Monday? I shall be finishing my roof, sharpening all of my chains and dusting off the fencing gear!
  16. Hello peeps I am on the look out for some coppice in the Weald of Kent/ Sussex fire wood or chestnut for post and rail. If anyone has anything or knows of someone who has could you please contact me below or pm. Thank you in advance nipper.
  17. On the fursty ferret tonight. Been off of beer for 17 months due to ill health got the all clear three weeks ago now I am a cheap date!
  18. thank you. the cost of heavy pruning is pretty much the same as complete removal less the grinder. the customer wants it out so a dismantle look likely.
  19. The house is older by a long chalk and no evidence of any structural problems. I told the customer I would seek further advice before dismantling as It is not as straight forward as just cutting the tree down and explained what May or may not happen. As many different view points as possible creates a better picture.
  20. It is sitting in Wealden clay in kent on a hill running away from the house so I wouldn't think swelling would be a factor.
