  1. Hi fella, sorry its took a while to get back to you, I haven't been on this site lately.

  3. Hello mate, just spotted your profile picture and was wondering is there any chance of a close up of the rear of your trailer. I have a greenmech cs100 chipper and the same trailer. I would love to be able to mount the chipper on the back like your motorised barrow.

    many thanks

  4. My ifor played silly bug@#rs too, it did cure itself, try rapidly flicking the ram up followed by the double click down , repeat for a couple of minutes.
  5. There are so many different body combinations, a 130 double cab will carry its weight over the rear axle, yet a single cab would help carry that weight forward to the front axle. If you study photos of both 110 & 130 tippers you will notice the 110 has a lot of its body overhang behind the rear axle.
  6. I used N & j , genuine guys who want to help, all done over the phone & mail order, I would recommend to anyone.
  7. I've had 2 rangers, just put a blob of grease on the steering bump stops, it often needs doing between service intervals . That should cure it.
  8. I've a 4000lb tow ball winch from David Bowers goodwinch. It is useful but very difficult to pay in neatly on the drum as it swivels on the towball. I would be careful with a winch any bigger , would the towball take it?
  9. Good idea mate, its all good if it makes the job easier
  10. Charnwood island 111b, its a very efficient stove but running 10 rads off the stove you burn tons of wood
  11. I don't bother with trickle charging, just plug the mains charger in overnight once a week. My battery is located under the trailer floor, so I have added some insulated 12v wire from the battery terminals, coming forward to charge from, saves having to tip up to get to battery terminals.
  12. Our Eco fan wouldn't run property on our charnwood boiler stove, the water through the stove has a cooling effect on the stove top. The answer is an ecofan designed for a gas stove, it just kicks in at a lower temperature.
  13. I run a ranger towing a tracked chipper, been very reliable. I had a 2002 model from new, for 6 years. I now have an 08 model from new. I have never bought more than service parts & tyres for both trucks.
  14. I nearly bought a station wagon as a impulse buy, by uneconomic I meant that I would be paying 235 a year more in road tax for a near identical vehicle with commercial road tax status.
  15. Thanks for your help lads, as usual its not that straight forward. It has brought to my attention that many of these bargain station wagon defenders are uneconomic. I just about managed to resist an impulsive buy on eBay that would keep the chancellor happy. Thanks lads.
