  1. now use a leyland 262 tractor with a high lift front loader with a gripe for lifting logs on to the processor, stacking dumpys, loading and unloading trailers, got a winch on the rear, so it can winch then load the timber onto trailers. only 2 wd so needs good tyres with ballast so you don,t get stuck. cheap and reliable
  2. we used to cut to 6 feet and move on a sack barrow with the log stood on end.
  3. I,ve got lot,s of larch to cut this week near Durham.
  4. the mogs the lecy board have with a access platform on are 150,000 pounds each they have 6 in the north east!!!
  5. If there are no more 084 barrel and pistons, will a 880 kit fit and fit a new top cover with the decompressor on the right side? I thought the only differance is the decompressor is on the other side? Bought a husky 3120xp because cheap barrel and pistons are available, going to see how it goes and may sell my 084 in the future.

  13. Hi i got sorted with a timber trailer, looking for a flat drawbar trailer to go on the back of my foden 6x6 truck.
  14. we have just started buying in wood by the 3m from our local suppliers.
  15. we use a old swing top bin with one side cut out.

I don,t keep spares for them, got a husky dealer 3 miles from me, yes do after hours service and the lad i work with lives in Stanhope Castle, tinly use to rent a garage off me when he bothered paying the rent! didn,t go to wolsy school lived a bishop. Is your place on the 68 on the right just before St boswells? also i do a courtesy saw!
  17. it,s because military stuff tends to be special build specs, so most insurance companys will insure for private use but not business use, i,l give nfu a try but in the past i,ve found them pretty useless.
  18. I,ve got a Foden truck and the insurance only covers it for private use! So i want to insure it for business use and i can,t find anyone that will do it as it,s ex military! Where did you get your truck covered for business use?

Was working at Stanhope Castle today ringing some fallen limbs off the big beechs in the castle gardens, some of them were 3ft wide, after 4 hours of ringing up my ms 660 it snapped it,s crank and the clutch fell off:001_huh:and no the chain was not tight saw is a 2008 had one of the same year knock it,s big end out last year anyone else had problems with 660 cranks? luckly i,ve got a spare crank to fit it:thumbup: so today could of been better, but working in Weardale is a joy:thumbup:

  22. if it,s a db engine in the case it,ll fit as it is to go in my case 580f
