Try Waveney Tree Specialists they are based in Diss, failing that they might know more contractors in that area.

Hi Tom,

I had a quick ask around but will see more people on saturday, theres a bit of freelance work around the area but were just in the slow period here so work will build back up in the area in june (every year it does this). Do you know where you are willing to travle (distance) and where are you based, i.e you live in south suffolk and i put you onto someone in north norfolk.

Sorry for the waffle

Kind regards

 7.
if you have any uk gems tree pics on your phone can you send then to adam or me as were making a uk tallest trees page on facebook to get more exposure.

 8.
No did you want to get his address and we will pick him up at about 0815-0830 on saturday.

 9.
If you want you can come to mine mine at 4 havers road, you can leave your truck on the drive when i pull out.

 10.
A1 takes longer got to be there for 10am so we should leave at 0730.

 11.
yeah i have another seat. I'll either take jens car or the truck. I'll workout later how long it takes to get there if were meeting for 9am. Where do we need to get andy from in newmarket?

 12.
2nd feb watford reccy climb, want a lift?

 13.
Yeah it was that one, yeah stupidly at the moment, so hopefully it will keep me going as i took a full time employee on in september.

 14.
Yeah sounds good, give us a ring before and i'll make sure i have it. Milling thing sounds fun. Im putting together a email for the farm to see if i can climb and measure the tallest trees in salhouse and write a parish article. Then the plan is to, if it works, approach other farms/landowners and see if they would let us climb them.

 15.
Nope, you can have it. Give me a shout when you want to pick it up. Im in the yard tomorrow and friday then working sat but id be at home in norwich sunday late afternoon

 16.
Yeah probably because we didnt flip the system through 180..... i knew i should read instructions better

 17.
just found out the guide rail supports can flip 90 degrees........ I think that would of speeded up the cutting...

 18.
Also on the milling i found it was fits and starts but milling for 8 hrs is hard, hard work and you'll go through 3 5l cans a day too.

 19.
not sure yet as i need to check where me and the missus are in the country, i think i might be free to go down.

 20.
Nice i'll bring it over if your free sometime during christmas. The alaskan is good but really requires the mini mill to be able to make good planks. The logosol on the other hand is massively more variable and can easily plank shaped posts and fancy dimensions. What width did you go for?? 36, 48 or 52?

 21.
You buy an alaskan in the end? I got the logosol bigmill basic recently

 22.
Yeah two videos one from head cam and other from the ground so i can guestimate the fall distance Vs body damage

 23.
Drop test video uploading as we speak. Im going to put together the video cam stuff you did as it was getting to 10mins and wanted them short so i'll stick that up a bit later once ive finished it.

 24.
Yeah i does have you running in the mud........ Should be up early next week.

 25.
Headcam footage is all good especially the tether cuts!
