do fb's occur in the dark? saw a pic on here of some chinese fungi food, can't remember what sort but they were really elongated, could they be searching for light or as hamadryad said..maybe they are aerotropic?
-

husky make blowers? never seen one, the bg86 is good though.

:001_smile:some of them longer ones are pushing 10-13cm, i've not seen them that long before, what a way to treat firewood, the amount of powdery white spores coming off them was amazing when knocked
-
could be mould.. seems to like leylandii bark though, would the xylaria be as long as they are because they are searching for light? do fb's search for light?

try n have a talk with both neighbors if they havn't already done so, we did one last week that was 40/60, we cut it down for the 60%owner and couldnt (tried 5times) get anyone in at 40%house, got a call next day from a very upset lady, 'where are the birds going to go now?' might have got a planting job off her as well haha

no but you can spend on them.. after 5yrs of totally pain free driving and regular servicing the wifes 300tdi disco went nuts and so far this year its had all new back brakes, new clutch and its in now for headgasket, mechanic just rang to say the heads cracked and warped so needs new one as well as rad and thermostat, might be about £900 noooo. not happy but i know it'll last another 10 years+

stopped driving japjunk years ago after welding patches onto patches on the chassis, then finding it still flexed too much with half loads, and no a new chassis isnt even an option cos they dont make em? been looking at tractors recently, decided when the time comes it'll definately have a cab crane like yours, Ed
-
wow you were either a long way up or thats a bunch of tiny people..Ed
-
haha reminds me of overloading the landy (on private land of course) then backing down the very steep driveway..front wheels in the air as the load shifted, think it might have tipped if towbar hadnt been there..Ed
-
nice set up, what weight will the cab crane lift?
-
Not STT's, they are Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 265/75 R16 on an 8.5" rim
Absolutely excellent tyre. I have been told the wear rate is quite high but since I have only done 12k miles in the last 2 years I am not too bothered and there is still loads of tread on them
that told me:blushing:
im not jealous at all grr, my road type avon's keep embarrassing me offroad when towing, fancy some bfg's again but these treads won't wear out fast enough, nice snowplough..Ed

always get mine reconditioned, i know this doesnt help as yr not local to me but its usually about £40 round here, takes about 2days, but sometimes cleaning all the clutch dust out of them and cleaning up the terminals helps shortterm, check with a multimeter to see if its drawing too much current..Ed
