  1. latest is some supposed workwear company, always rings off a different mob number..

might be genuine but i'll never buy from a sales call..

we got telephone preferency wotsit thingy 2years ago but they look through phonebooks and ring up still.. Ed

  2. that made me laugh.. not as much as the guy walking down the pavement today, hands in pockets, slapped on his ass then slid down the path on his back, (outside a car wash) got up tryin to look cool and shuffled hastily away, its funny cos its not me this time haha. oh was that riding downhill? looks like you accelerated real fast..

  3. bet you hit it a bit faster on the way back eh? managed to get the landy stuck too today, one inch of ice, covering a stone slab lane, just couldnt reverse the trailer loaded full of copper beech up it slowly, took a few failed attempts, then a big run up backwards and just made it.. nice pics

  4. nice ifor williams trailer, hope that one wheel lock isnt the only security, they can remove wheel nuts from that one and tow it away on 3 wheels, got a similar wheel clamp on mine and backed it up with ground anchors and hitchlock, also chaining the handbrake 'on' to slow them down.. sorry to go 'off subject' but them yellow wheelclamps dont cover your nuts..ahem, nice vented bags, look handy for seasoning.. Ed

  5. delivered a load of firewood 2m square just down an untreated road near me, had about 2.7t on the towball, then the trailer tried overtakin the landy.. by time id got it straight i was nearly going too fast for the next corner.. and yes id thought it might happen so put half tonne in landy to stabilise it. thats first work done in 3 weeks and might give it up as a bad job.. need money for tax bill 2 though. need the exercise too, starting to look a bit pregnant..Ed

  6. not that load but fell him a couple of trees every time i go up there, he saves me the ones leaning the wrong way.. dropped a scots and 3birch last week when i went up for a landrover trial on his land (all leaning wrong way) his mate a carver guy made the kitchen, usually take him all my yew/nice bits to work.

  7. the white pigment in the bark is 'betulin' best seen on the betula utilis where it rubs off onto your hand. been exploring the scottish birchwoods in the snow lastweek on holiday,

loads of pictures of birch polypore and friends, found an unusual growth up one, pics posted later.

anyone know what the growth might be? was about 18inch across
