  3. sweet, was just wondering if there was a way to re-title, don't wana upset anyone by calling the landy 'baby' this close to valentines day, folks might get wrong idea, starter re-build guy reccons he'll have it back to me tomorrow eve,

  4. broke it yesterday, started was spinning up but not engaging, might be because of the broken / missing bits, it's been making funny noises for a few weeks.. had to get bump-started by a freelander:blushing:

  5. I'm pretty sure, because my Transit is a 3.5 tonner, I can carry 3.5 tonnes of wood in it.

And I obviously don't need a tachograph because they are for lorry drivers.

you're so right, lets get a weighbridge and some beech blocks, i'd love to see that..:thumbup1:

  6. Landrover that dosn't leak! Don,t belive you ;) Seen it befor & looked at monkyd link..:)

when i said it doesn't leak i meant doesn't leak oils/antifreeze etc, of course it leaks, door gaps are huge, everytime it rains the paper mache mixed with doghairs and usual junk behind seats gets worse, not as bad as my old japcrap rotbox that would spray rain in to yr face from the bonnet:thumbup:

  7. took down a horsechestnut lastweek, noticed a blue puddle under the landy, thats strange cos this landy doesn't ever leak.. closer look it was coming from the woodchip, blue staining on water, not oily at all, pieces of stray woodchip on fresh snow were staining the snow blue too, got chipper home and hosed dust off..blue puddle, levels all fine as usual..must be from tree then, lad who climbed tree said afterwards it was on snow on branches up tree too, whats all that then? 8. no lets bitch about hire companys instead and their lack of maintainance, sharpening and unreal pricing, they let me down bad loads of times, e.g. vermeer with top infeed roller on backwards..they said it had never been off(old machine)and nobody else had a problem with it, greenmechs with soft infeed springs so they won't grab branches, blades missing/broken, seized jockey wheels, wrong key after driving across town, hiring the tracked machine and having to buy an overpriced ratchet strap for my trailer etc etc. could go on and on, sooo glad i've got me own now and can maintain it myself..
