nice haha have you ever seen a rabbit? my first mushroom turned into a dumbbell and i gave it up as a bad job..

is that a 3.7tonnes trailer? or a 3.7metre trailer? if its the first then trannys would die within minutes and LDV's within seconds..

thanks for the advice guys, sent one text message to guy i share yard with saying that the chap could keep them if he wants but i'll have to invoice accordingly to the tune of £200, he appologised and they will be returned shortly,

got up this morning to see a tractor piled high with my logs pulling out of the shared yard i use, was long gone before i could get there, the guy im sharing the yard with said he could take a load of the old logs away.. but the plank took my best stuff, big larch, big oak and big copper beech and left the old stuff, im pretty mad about it and had 30tonnes stolen last year from a different yard, getting sick of me doing all the work and someone else freeloading before i get chance to draw a penny from it..

took this small pear down for a client, as soon as it was down she said the woodpecker had been visiting it every day, immediately felt angry and very guilty..

im tired so i'll keep it short.. i recommended last year that although the tree was in poor health that it should remain as it would likely fall missing most of the building, the owner of the building recently took advice on the tree as the one next to it dropped its top onto the building..

owner then asked me to take it down so after a look round it for health and stability i found major drainage work closeby on 2sides of the tree including excavation within its root area, there are also areas of compaction and areas of tipped soil piled up against one side, the trees stem showed signs of Phytophthora and there was evidence of fruiting bodies on the root its root plate, while in the crown there was evidence of armillaria mellea at approx 30ft up, also the idiots renting nearby units have for years been having bonfires burning scrap car parts below these trees scorching the living tissue on the building side of each one, but really i cut it down for the money and dont feel bad as there are plenty big old trees in much better condition on the site, including some horsechestnuts that are getting galic treatment soon, balls i forgot to keep it short..

nope didnt see the mushrooms last year, looked for them though. this was on a maple that got the chop lastyear within 10metres of todays pic, I id'd it as mellea based purely on what i thought at the time and 3 other arbs (all i would say are better at naming fungs than me) agreed with me.. if im wrong then thats something i need to polish up on, if you think im wrong feel free to comment, i'll get more pics tomorrow if that would help

todays job, beech tree with all sorts wrong with it, dropped some height off first then felled. lots of logs to collect another day..

playing with cranes is very dangerous, after this shot i got lowered into the brambles.. ouch, i was just hitching a lift over the brambles to choker an ash log..

gosh wonder how i missed that haha, the fence was in payment for me parking the series1 in the neighbours garden till i get it welded, quick release fence installed..

first pic when we took hedge down weeks ago, fencing from today.. and a little job for my neighbour using offcuts.

only had to 'lean' on one person before:001_cool:, usually get paid straight after job with hand written invoice on lettered paper straight from the truck..

this was the moment a bit of pear sawdust decided to make itself into a splinter inside my eyelid, had to cut the rest with only one eye open.. fave because im usually takin the photos so theres not many of me..

yep theyre hot alright, i've seen scum leave skidmarks down the road to check out the kit, keep safe guys, dont give them an inch..
