railed both sides? we usually put palings on same side as posts to save width. sometimes notch posts to get rails in more, thats a wide fence..

when i was about ten my dad got me a scrap engine and we stripped it completely, every bit was examined and explained how it worked, its obvious really but without being shown initially id be scratching my head wondering why mechanics are charging so much.. now im looking forward to a break from work to spend a week under the landy(s).

thanks for all the advice guys, wont go on closed ears. i will get round changing bits and pieces . any other opinions are more than welcome. good or not it all helps .
Is that an open invitation to be really picky then? The first sentence is written in 3rd person speech while the second sentence is written in 1st person if that makes sense?
I daren't be too picky as mine is far from perfect, hope this helps and you get work from it.

cant be hard to mount a splitter onto the side of a chipper can it? theres plenty of room on mine, its already got a hydraulic pump running on nice cheap red diesel, just 'T' in with connectors, quick release ones so it can be removed easily. worked out a 4inch ram should give 11t and 6inch ram would give approx 22t..

a decent garage big enough to build my own make of car from scratch to my spec.. oh and maybe a box of hydraulic couplings/ram/pipes for something im cooking up in my head..

my reason was the money, there was nothing i could find wrong with it though.. there were defects but i wouldn't have recommended removal, the house is being converted for disabled use and the people dealing with it wanted it gone to extend house that direction, local council had granted a fell so i felled.. all arisings to local yard in the area.

got some welding to do soon to various bits and pieces, not interested im mig i want proper oxy-acetylene, i know obvious bits like chaining them up etc but theres something telling me they cant be kept at home, is this right? any idea how much a set up costs? they dont have to be the big bottles as smaller ones would take up less room if they are available. any help / advise appreciated. Ed.
