  1. nicely finished yew there, burned some elder tonight, havnt seen any hags yet, didnt talk to tree before i cut it down lastyear either, blackcats are just cats, i dont walk under ladders purely because its likely something will fall on your head, superstition is for puffs and office chat..

  2. The one on the last photo looks to be pointing at the house? They look like a very amateur job to me! Are you sure they are legit?

looked pretty official to me, their vans said highways agency on the back. all the visi-vested oiks had mini laptops to write in, i even put my seatbelt on for a bit.. deffo wasnt vosa as i saw them the other side of town today aswel..

  3. nipped down to yard this morning and on the way through local village there were cameras up everywhere, all fastened to lampposts, some roads had them on nearly every lamppost, there were guys writing details of every parked car and noseying about everywhere, cameras were signed up as some sort of traffic survey, got into yard, started having a pee next to landy, looked up to see camera on nearest post pointing straight at me haha, hope they enjoyed watching that.. oh if they had put them up a few hours sooner they might have caught some scum nicking red diesel from machines in next yard..

  5. cant help you except to snigger at your pain,:001_tt2: i havnt had a wetshave for about 9yrs, i just get the nice lady at the hairshop to give me a crownlift with the electric shears every so often.:thumbup1:

  6. a few years ago a mate of mine built me a website using a couple of my pics and the rest from flikr, even all the writing bit is his own doing, needless to say i wince everytime i see them and read the writing, i have never advertised my website and won't do until i find someone to do the necessary adjustments but recently a few people have said they got me to do the work because they liked my website haha, wierd eh? i think i wouldnt have a good case to argue if someone used my pics but if they are on the web they can easily be used by anybody.

  7. wanted another quote for covering chipper etc, tried among others NFU, they said they would call back weeks ago and didnt help at all, today nipped into local office and wasted loads of time waiting to be told they dont actually cover chippers etc unless i have other insurance policies with them, guy said he had turned away 3 other arbs in last month too, dont think i'll ever call them again for anything..

  8. What a great idea, not only would we have deeper resevoirs that could hold more water, we'd also have an ample supply of peat without the need for the ecological vandalism of peat exstraction from peat bogs, which are an essential carbon store as well as fragile eco reserves supporting a unique and finely balanced range of flora and fauna.

wasn't my idea sadly, my father in law designs and model tests pumpingstations and reservoirs and every time a drought is on he gives the same line, as well as a few forgotton reasons explaining the facts n stuff. theres a lot of peat getting washed off our hills, a couple of years ago i helped national trust dig bales of heather into watercourses on marsden moor to try to trap peat from washing off, hopefully it will build up in these areas and plants hold it together..
