  2. thankyou for some good points and the boss would like it to be on grand designs (but she thinks money grows on trees and we all know it does but in small amounts) but it will be a decent size on a very very tight budget.
  3. well for the past 10 years have been looking for a plot of land near my home town of canterbury kent and finally have found a 2.7 acre plot with planning permission. its a daunting challenge, as i live at present 3 hundred miles away with 3 young girls, has anybody done their own self build and have any tips they could pass on, i plan to move down and do a large portion of the works myself.

Hi I have 1 acre of about 4/5ft tall brambles and the odd self seeder, iam wanting to clear these and reseed as paddock, what machine out there is capable of this job (ie mulcher) and what do people recommend, What sort of price should i be looking to pay contractor for day based nr canterbury kent.

  8. hi all iam in process of buying a building plot and need an ecology report done on the plot so far internet search and architects have given me some very expensive ecologists. Does anybody know off any ecology companies in the canterbury area that do reports at reasonable rate cheers for your help.
  9. as part course couple of years ago we did soil sampling and it had to be sent into myerscough to get the soil type etc looked at so we could write a report
  10. you can send samples of to myerscough for a small fee and they send you the data back

  12. Hi Josh just seen your thread on landrover tipper conversion i have double cab 130 old one do you think there would be enough room for st up you used was planning on just bolting hicap straight onto tipping chassis

  13. Instead of respray do it yourself with a paint called combi colour it is good stuff, roller it on and gives excellent finish they use it on vw campers did my 130 black and was suprised how good finish was

    hi read you post about your kwickchip with rd270 engine in. What did you replace engine with and did you keep old one have same chipper and starter motor has go completley on mine so if you still have engine would be willing to buy starter

  19. not blocked and yes warmed down, chipping beech
  20. have been using chipper all day turned off at end of day went to restart nothing, after fiddling with wires starter made clicking noise but would not turn engine engine has oil and did not get to hot, any body got any ideas as iam lost battery has good charge. (chipper old kwick chip with Ruggerini engine )have checked wiring all looks in place and ok
  21. same problem with my 130 had me stumped then mate pointed out hazard switch had gone
  22. I use a clutch claw plus cut off switch problem is if they want it that bad they will find away
  23. pity they dont recall them and sort the zips out
  24. hi just wondered if other people have had problems with the zips breaking, have had to pairs where the zips have failed, (and they were correct size waist), apart from that brilliant trousers.
