  1. This is the rope guide that I made its pretty much finished other than I need one of those cambium saver retriever but not if it it will fit through the standard size pinto:confused1: Do any of you know if it will or not??
  2. Haha good, thats pretty cool yh i need to get some as i wanna splice some onto one of the pulleys I've got:) yh the rope guide work amazin ilove it:D
  3. Hi hows your miles of friction cord going?? I made my Pulleysaver/rope guide the other day its pretty good:)
  4. Generally I branch walk on a single anchor point nice and high in the tree and even u do fall the swing is slow and controlled, on some long sloping branches its a good idea as there can be a possibilty of bottoming out on your swing back in like in my avatar this was a long sloping branch with quite a sparse crown and some nice cavities I needed all the extra support I could get.
  5. 8mm Armor Prus, 8mm Therma Shield, quite a lot of friction is built up sop hard wearing friction cord necessary. Eye to eye with pulley Ascending a reasonably long bit of friction cord is needed it is quite stiff to tend and some sit back no where near VT standards though so not bad. Will lock everytime. Descending it has 2 speed settings pull it down to first loop for branch walking and then right down for full decent. Not my favourite knot I find its a bit slow and not great for ascending on due to amount of friction.
  6. 8mm Armor Prus, 8mm Thermashield or cheapy Marlow 8mm. Eye to eye with pulley Excellent for ascending because you can use very short lengths of friction cord so barely any sit back. Descending nice and fast. Very similar to schwabisch just the bottom wrap goes opposite direction from rest unlike schwabisch where it goes in the same direction.
  7. We have been working on some really old over mature neglected hornbeam pollards and coppices at college experimenting with techniques to bring them back to their original state of pollarded stems and coppice stools and we have been leaving 2 or 3 small stems with some growth on them to help them survive.
  8. Wow these pulleys look to sexy lol:001_smile: the video is pretty kool:thumbup:
