  2. Hi, Looks like classic eiffel tower decay, the tree should be fine unless the buttress roots are compromised.
  3. Hi, Usual things, targets, enhanced duty of care and do I want to spend scarce resources and tie myself in to a cyclical maintenance regime? Oh yes there is also about 2000 hectares of ASNW directly behind. Have a good day.
  4. Hi Hama, Hispidus at that level, although I have seen it at 2m. I probably should have added these. 1. School premises lots of little targets. 2. Over lifted approx 7m. 3. Many historic pruning wounds, with what looks like associated canker, prob hispidus. This was a cursory glance, I,d been called to look at a different tree. I,ll go back on wed. and do a proper survey. Cheers.

  13. Doing the PTI in Bicton, we are all under this tree surveying away, suddenly hear a crack, everyone looks around grinning, wouldn,t it be hilarious if a tree fell on a group of PTI students, anyway we go back to the classroom and 10 mins later this huge oak limb detaches itself and hurtles to the ground about 10 yards away from where we were. I can picture the headlines.

  21. Certainly do, i,m amazed it,s still up, maybe we over estimate the risk! Though it would take a brave chap to leave it as it is.
  22. Hi Arbgirl, Now would that tree be in a pub near Chorley? I parked under it before Tech Cert in May, took a quick look at the tree and parked somewhere else. I thought about saying something, but was too preoccupied with forthcoming prac.
