  1. Hiya Bob They look ok. Is there all the pitches and whatnot? It’s an 18mm spanner size.
  2. It’s one of the bolts that hold the calliper carrier on. That’s why I’d rather re tap than put in an helicoil.
  3. It’s on a vw Passat 2003. Thanks for all the replies. What I need to do is drill the old hole out and re-tap it with the next size up.
  4. Yeah the plastic broke where the torx heads are so the tape was to hold it on until getting a new one. It’s clean sort from grease in there and everything moves smoothly. It’s just a bit of an eyesore! When I’ve read about faults it does say there’s usually reds lights on. This one nothing lights up apart from when you press the button on the battery and then it say 4 green for fully charged!
  5. Wowzers they are expensive!! I think they might be a tad overkill for me, mine would be for now and then - but still want to be respectable [emoji106]
  6. Thanks chaps! Does the kaliber set go big enough to sort out a bolt with an 18mm head that’s stripped the thread it goes through? I’ll have a google of the dormer thanks.
  7. Hello dude, only just seen your reply! Pics below...
  8. Hello guys Could anyone recommend a decent tap and die set please? I know cheap sets should be well avoided but I’m not sure at what cost they become good? Any help would be great - I could have done with a set yesterday!! Thank you.
  9. Yeah I ported my 2511 and it’s a little beast, love it!
  10. I have a hla85 hedge trimmer that doesn’t work. The battery shows no warnings and is fully charged. When I pull the trigger the is a quiet click from near the motor but it just does it the once, when you pull the trigger straight after there is nothing. I’ve fitted a new switch. I saw earlier in this thread about the terminals on the motor but they all look fine and if the touch them it makes no difference. Any idea?
  11. It’s great on a large beech reduction, neat and good fun. I do know what you mean though, the chain does struggle.
  12. Hello again, I’ve fitted the new switch and it still doesn’t work! There are no warning lights up on the battery and the battery is fully charged. When you pull the trigger you can here a little click up near the motor but that only happens the first time, when you do it again there is silence. Any other ideas?
  13. No it’s on the stihl chain in this vid, I’d previously used it for a reduction and it leaves a better finish on the cuts.
  14. It was filmed in another dimension where up is down and down is up, right is left and left is right, right is wrong and wrong is right [emoji3]
  15. Did this for a laugh really but it’s actually really good!
  16. It’s awful straight out of the box/bag but after a few sharpens it’s fine. It’s easier to sharpen than the stihl chain as it take a 4mm file instead of 3.2mm and the rakers are easier to set.
  17. Hello Bill I’ve done it and I can report back that it’s a beast. The saws ported, cylinder and exhaust and I put my orange GB 150 bar - which seems real strong, and I’m using the northern arb ms150 chain, which isn’t quite as good on a 150 as the stihl chain but is stronger and fine on this. It’s balanced perfectly and absolutely flies!
  18. Nice one Bill that’s perfect, they are a brilliant company to buy from [emoji106]
  19. Hiya Bill Thanks for the reply. It wouldn’t be a full time saw, if just be doing it to see what it’s like. Do you know where I could get the worm gear and whatnot from?
  20. Cheers bud, I’ll have a look on Friday ?
  21. Yeah I’ve bypassed it and there was still heat in the system, and I’ve run it without it in the moving roller and it still gets piping hot. How could I tell if a hose has delaminated?
  22. Hiya I have a few 200t’s and thought about converting one to 1/4 chain, say like a 150 bar and chain. Is this possible? I just want to see what it’s like [emoji106]
  23. Rob from the chainsaw bars link sells them, they are expensive though! I fancy a try myself, looks like awesome chain [emoji106]
  24. Hiya Jase That’s brilliant that you’ve replied, I was going to give you a ring on Friday when I’m next working for Geoff [emoji106] I’ve taken the flow valve off now, got some shorter bolts like you said. I was well excited starting it up but alas it still got real hot! I’ve tried bypassing the motors with the twin male fitment like you advised and it still got hot. The roller spins dead easy by hand without the motor in. One chap I spoke to said if the roller was slightly bent it may spin easy by hand but when the motor’s in it could be cross loading the bearing and causing the heat? I could try swapping the moving roller unit for the one off the other chipper? The other thing I thought of today is could be the pump, it’s the only thing I’ve not looked at yet? It was run real low on oil one day for to the leak so I wonder if air got in the pump and caused the oil to boil? Thanks so far for all your help, you’ve been awesome [emoji106]
