  2. you cheeky git, thats nowhere near as good as mine!
  3. its an old pollard, it WILL need managing, or allow it to fail
  4. nice tree
  5. thats another minefield altogether
  6. terrible accusation as if arbs are prone to such extravagant waste!
  7. Fuse this branch to make a natural graft and reduce tendancy for them to drift apart. No unusual kinking or compression bulges in the new bark of occlusions, nor diamond patterns forming in old bark where compressions and dips will form under severe loads see some of the described body language in this old oak:thumbup1:
  8. give me a moment
  9. the only thing I might suggest is that there is one prime candidate limb going through from one tree to the other (this is now a twin, not a single tree) which i would pin to a siutable limb via a rod brace method to create a natural graft/union between the two. this would be easily achieved and natural:thumbup1:
  10. There is no body language to suggest anything at this time is needed, if I may I will edit the images a bit and show you what I mean by this
  11. as long as we dont source them from cheap euro nurseries huh!
  12. have to agree, this ones in decline, but why, whats letting it down?
  13. thats what I thought, nice deep tone:thumbup1:
  14. agree, notonly that but life expectancy would be a"grey area" when applying TPO guidance,or values. lovely tree, so so very very worth preserving:thumbup1:
  15. Ive watched afriend spend THOUSANDS jumping through hoops, having had TWO modifications, and needing to run with add blue. he now has a filter which becomes blocked and needs a run down the motorway for 45 minutes to heat it up, not AS ECO GREEN AS THEY APPEAR, ITS money making plain and simple:thumbdown: just another premium london tax
  16. Yes, and basicaly the truck is going to have to go on the back burner, ive a couple of mates local one with a tranny and the other with a MAN 7.5 so will work around it for a while. My next step is going self employed with work, which the boss is none to keen on, Ive had to turn days down because I couldnt give a definate date so having control of my own diary again is going to be key. Its NEVER convenient for me to book a day off, less i give 2 months notice:lol:
  17. what tree species was mentioned for climate change?
  18. It is, havent made full inquiries as per the details yet but suffice to say, getting a truck is no simple thing these days so close to the LEZ. and you have to play safe and get the latest spec because you never know what they will dictate next
  19. why cos you cant stand the competition:lol:
  20. I put Europe down because I consider my self to be European as opposed to just English. Ikinda like being here where I am for the most part, i am smack bang in the middle of some of the best ancient woodland Europe can offer. London is but a ten minute drive to the bridge, etc I am central to all main routes, A41 A1, M25 etc, its also in the heart of the colne valley, Carp angling hotspot:001_cool: My family all live in Watford too I would like the Hampshire/new forest area, or maybe henley on thames! If I move it wont be for \arb it will be for a change of direction entirely and one day I may be brave enough to just do that!
