  8. Stihl It is then, Dont know what is wrong with the ryobi but it has never been right. It got very hot after a couple of minutes and wont run now, also the throttle cable seems to have broken at he same time, weird. I will get a hand held one me thinks as I aint got much space in the van and it is mainly used for leaves.

  12. You have to have a carriers license for all waste but the storage and prouction of tree waste ie logs an chippings comes under an exemption certificate. You still need the carriers license as the envioment agency want to keep tabs on where the waste is going ie not fly tipping
  13. I want to shred mainly but i need a chipper/ shredder with both shutes a chipping and a shredding shute. Budget around £1500 or less
  14. I am looking for a used pto chipper Shredder in Devon and finding it very hard. If anyone knows of one for sale please let me know. Cheers
  15. Can anyone reccomend a pto shredder as I am after a used one if possible. It will need to cope with around 4 transit van fulls of garden waste per week and will be run by an international tractor Cheers
  16. I am aware of no problems I shifted 3 loads from wales to gloucester like that many years ago, took ages and I managed to get lost 2 miles down a single lane and could not turn around so reversed the whole length, took just over 1 hour. Those were the days
  17. I have one small Tanaka, one small echo and one long reach echo. The small Tanaka went blunt very quicky in the first year but the small echo is still as sharp as the day I bought it two years ago. The long reach echo is 4 years old and has just gone in for blade adjustmnet and a sharpen. I was looking to replace it for possibly a tanaka but the blade does not fold back to the shaft and i was worried about damaging it and the blade does not look that strong. The dealer told me to get my echo serviced and sharpened and it will be as good as new. Echo all the way me thinks
  18. why do you want to sell. I have really been considering getting one for my grounds maintenance business and any feedback on them would be great
  19. funny i got stung by one today, first time in ten years
  20. I am glad there is now a place for landscapers and grounds maintenance businesses now that landscapertalk has gone. Hopefully it will attract a few more like minded people. To kick off, I run a grounds maintenance business in devon and hopefully we can now share our ideas and hand out advise as needed. Justin
