  1. Is should be stamped into the flywheel housing were the discharge chute sits into place Take off the chute and give it a good wipe and the numbers should be there, sometimes they can be difficult to see due to wear
  2. Thanks for all the advice. I spoke to westcom today and was pleasantly surprised with the prices so I have ordered from them.
  3. Hi I've just purchased an rg13 And need to replace the bearings on the cutter head. Does anyone know what bearings they are? I don't want to buy from the dealer ideally as I have a bearing traders 3 miles from my house? The old bearings were removed by the previously owner so I can even take them to match up!! Also does anyone know what belts they have as I'm going to change this whilst I'm at it Regards Adam
  4. The majority of these chippers didn't have any grease nipples for the rollers. I'm pretty sure they were introduced about 2000/2001
  5. Loosen the 4 nuts holding the infeed chamber. Completely remove the bottom to and slacken the top to as far as possible without them coming off. This should give you enough play the move the hopper up and slide the battery out.
  6. Fire the chipper up and run it on full revs with the rollers engaged in the forward position. Reduce the engine revs to half or less and the rollers should stop as in theory the flywheel is rotating at a reduced rpm. They are easily fitted but it may need a small amount of welding to fix the pick up sensor bracket in place
  7. if you put one of those engines on you will have to modify all of the manifold and silencer assembly. does the original Briggs and Stratton have its own fuel tank?? obviously if so then a separate fuel tank will need to be added somewhere

  10. Hi, I've got quite a few saws and hedge cutters laid around that i don't use anymore. I'm thinking of selling them but they have been sat for a long while. Do I sell them as they are as spares even though they could easily be brought back to working order or do I spend few quid and get them all up and running and sell them? I've got: 3xms200t 1xms290 3xhs75 2xhs81r 1xHl75 All of the above were in working order however they were all replaced with new kit when they were stored. I was thinking of just ebaying them as they are??? Any advice would be appreciated.
  11. That is Actually a tw150 they made so many 24hp petrol tw150s. The tw125 has a 20hp engine. Useless fact of the day
  12. there was an advert on earborist for a timberwolf / entec that was being broken for spares.
  13. Afternoon all I am looking for an old set of roller control buttons for a tw125/150. I've got all the switches but need a top cover with the three buttons. If anyone has an old one laying about I will happily buy them make a donation etc. If not I will buy a new set but seems a waste that I have all the switches and controls but need the top cover Regards Adam
  14. Thanks for the replies guys. Sounds like I could have a few hours of fault finding ahead of me!! I will keep you informed of my progress.
  15. If there was an issue with the fuel flow would it not struggle to start / idle? It starts on the button and idles no problem?
  16. I've got an oldish landforce chipper which I having an odd problem with. It starts on the button in all weathers however it won't rev at all. The throttle cable is moving opening the throttle up but nothing happens? It has an electronic stop solenoid which I think may be the problem but before I take this off has anyone got any other ideas? It had brand new fuel and filters but this made no difference Thanks in anticipation Adam
  17. I think its mainly larger contracts which fall under the CDM regualtions, a statutoary notifcation is sent the the HSE making them aware fo the project so they can call at anytime.
  18. Since Turning into a self funding organisation we have had 2 visits! Both times they have fined us! Both IMO very harsh, but to be expected as they have to justify thier worth now!
  19. This is happening a lot more often now. the HSE are now a private company so to speak as they have had all of their government funding withdrawn. basically they are now self funding organisation. i have just had a visit on a building site, everything was in order other than the boiler was on the blink for 4 hours that one day so the lads had no running hot water. I'm still waiting for the report and the fine however i was told by the inspector that their fees are now £124 per hour and the average cost is £750 minimum.!!!
  20. Is it a launtop? I've been reading about them and they have some good reviews but as ever they have some very bad ones also
  21. Didn't think about that. Will have a look for a suitable diesel engine
  22. I've seen them. Was going to use that as a last resort. I don't really want to spend £500 on a cheap rubbish engine that's going to last 10 minutes! I would rather spend £1000 and out the real deal on.
  23. Need something bigger.minimum 20hp v twin. Thanks anyway
  24. In desperate need of a 20-25hp horizontal v twin kohler or honda engine. Anything would be considered running or non running! Can't even find anything on eBay and have been looking for weeks! Thanks in anticipation Regards Adam
