  1. Yes I've been thinking about it lately. Cheers for the heads up.
  2. This looks an interesting book on the devastation to the landscape.

  4. Green Lake in Austria, During winter, the lake is only 1–2 m (3–7 ft) deep and the surrounding area is used as a county park. However, in spring, when the temperature rises and snow melts, the basin of land below the mountains fills with water.

  10. LEAF.... The Newspaper For Trees is always such a good read.....woodcrafts, art, tree health in fact a celebration of all things trees. You can register with The Woodland Trust for a paper copy which I prefer or you can download back copies in pdf from Common Ground. https://www.commonground.org.uk/leaf/
  11. Come on Steve. The fact you are surprised means that you know I generally keep my head down and bear no malice to anybody and know as much as anybody the massive contribution and the wealth of knowledge that MonkeyD had/has. I know David himself will take it in the manner that it was intended. Having a laugh. I really do not think I've done anything wrong. I'm sorry if you feel otherwise or were offended on David's behalf.
  12. Oh yea. It's MonkeyD. No space between the Monkey and the D
  13. Very interesting article http://www.theecologist.org/blogs_and_comments/commentators/2988935/the_demise_of_the_horse_chestnut_tree_armageddon_or_scaremongering.html
  14. Monkey D being a classic example of an un educated tree bloke, blurting out utter rubbish from behind a pseudonym.
  15. No I don't think so. I did t see any reference to them on the literature I was reading about the plans.
