  1. Just remembered, take the battery out of cheap meters when they're not in use. I bought a cheapo one (~£15) and it chews batteries if I leave them in. To store it, I just disconnect the battery ( 15v) and put it back the other way round.
  2. Hey WFW, that Curkeet document looks really useful . Good find. Thanks
  3. Didn't Boudicca have something similar?
  4. And another......
  5. <guess> Eucalyptus</Guess> How's it smell?
  6. Hmmm, brilliant toy. But cost benefit analysis comparing this kit ( and the kit to make the bundles) against a bloke with a chainsaw? Would it ever break even? ...shame though, nice kit..
  7. Don't forget a 'use by'date too...
  8. I've got one of the E-bay ones. It does the job but seems to eat batteries when switched off. Take the battery out overnight....
  9. When you're done polish it up, varnish it and nail it up over the fireplace?
  10. Two Man Cross Cut Saw? Bit cheaper and a bit more exercise than a Stihl.... Thomas Flinn & Co. Saws - Specialised Products inc. Two Man Crosscut Saws
  11. Ah The Mermaid, know it well. Did you sit in the Devil's Chair? Used to be the one to the left of the fireplace, great wolf face carving if I remember it . Mind you after a pubcrawl through Rye, my memory ain't that reliable.....
  12. Are they seasoned?
  13. Not letting you in my van then....
  14. No problem with Arsenic in Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus). but it does contain fairly high levels of cyanide as a defence. Ever see bugs eating laurel? The cyanide is mainly in the leaves & green stalks. There should be no problem with burning properly seasoned laurel logs. I burn it, even let my kids throw the leaves onto the bonfire/barbeque; they love the popping it makes. Tom
